Dr. Richard C Seestedt JR., MD

Terrible, wrong diagnosis and I spent a lot of time in pain. Is arrogant and rude, does not listen and is in a hurry to get the appointment over.

Dr. Richard Seestedt is a talented and experienced neurologist. I found him to be very attentive, empathetic, compassionate, thorough, and a competent specialist. He was recommended to me by two other specialists, so to me that indicates respect in the medical community. You are not going to see a neurologist to make friends; although I found him to be friendly. Office is very busy; lots of patients.

The most narcissistic, rude, condescending man I have ever met. He saw my daughter for a face to face visit followed with a virtual visit for a Concussion and left her bawling both times! No concern for her well being at all. Her PCP recommended we switch doctors immediately! He does not listen, he only speaks.

Poor doctor, does not listen, is rude and condescending, and almost acts like he does not care if you get better. Not an asset for the Neurology Center of Fairfax.

Dr. Seestedt spoke to me in a very condescending way. He didn't let me finish explaining my symptoms stating "I've heard enough" when he didn't approve of the circumstances of an injury. He was extremely judgmental and lacked any compassion. Don't go to him unless you want to be insulted and shamed.

For many years I’ve been taking my mom to see Dr. Seestedt. He diagnosed my mom’s condition and appropriately prescribed her medication. Since she has felt much better. Over the years we’ve gotten to know him better and understand his quick wit and direct approach (always respectful!) I cannot thank him enough for the kindness he has shown my family over the years!

I have met with Dr. Seestadt several times now. He was always direct, and didn't waste time. He quickly diagnosed my issue, and has helped with my quality of life in many ways. Excellent doctor!

I was unable to keep my scheduled follow up appt because I was experiencing problems with my vision and could not drive. I requested a phone consult just to get my test results. I was told that was not possible and that I didn't need to worry because my test results were normal. When I went to my primary care dr weeks later, there was a letter from the Neurology Center of Fairfax in my file. My dr gave me a copy of it and I found out that my test results were abnormal. I was unable to schedule any further appts with Neurology Center because they told me I had neglected to keep my follow up appt. My recommendation is that you only see this dr (or anyone in the practice) if you are positive there is nothing wrong with you.

This guy is the RUDEST doctor I have ever come across! I told him the medicine that he had put me on was not only NOT working but making me have severe tremors. His response? "Well, you are not a brain surgeon or a dentist so what does it matter?" I have been to him a few times do a severe condition I have but after that remark, and no help with my pain, I refuse to see him again!

I have been seeing Dr. Seestedt since I had a stroke in 2007. I was referred to him by my internist, Dr. Pontz, and I could not be happier. He takes time with me, answers all my questions and has encouraged me to keep a positive attitude. He is a little quirky, which I find appealing.
