Dr. Schmidt is an excellent surgeon who pays great attention to detail and has fabulous bed side manners! If you need a thyroidectomy this is the surgeon you want to have!!!

Human error should cause embarrassment

Long story. Short version --As I was not showing any symptom's of a appendicitis but my CT scan detected and issue, he have the scan double checked to verify the diagnosis before proceeding with surgery. The first time he work me up at around 5am I may have swung him as I was not expecting that ( just kidding). For my entire stay he was the first to my bedside every morning. All the nurses and staff said he was the absolute best. He will not keep you and the staff waiting for discharge orders. Not sure I would have any other Surgeon other than Dr. Schmidt-- Old School and the Real deal. I think the last reviewer may have bumped me in the line. Thanks Dr. Schmidt

This man possesses a calm and soothing demeanor. I had to have an appendix removed ASAP and frankly, I was a bit frightened. He walked into the ER and I was at peace. He speaks with you and not at you. He listens! He visited me at 5 AM post op...what a blessed man and his true talents of compassion are as superior to his surgical skills.

He did a great job. So far, no more cancer!

Caring, professional with a great bedside manner. Old school surgeon that explains everything to you and treats you like an adult. Was at my bedside after surgery at 5 am. Well respected by everyone at the hospital!

Everything went as planned from our first consultation. Surgically and recuperating wise , it all happened as planned. Dr Schmidt is a very good surgeon.

Great skills, puts the patient first, easy to talk to. Staff that work with him say he's the best, meticulous and has great outcomes and I as a patient can validate their comments.

Dr. Schmidt has been my surgeon for 6 years and performed (3) surgeries on me. I found him to be very personable, thorough, dedicated and caring. He was very compassionate, especially when a cancer diagnosis was imminent. He personally called me two days before Christmas and on another occasion on a Saturday night with my test results. He not only treated me, however he also treated my family who also love him! I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and have referred several of my friends to him. He is THE BEST!

Dr,Schmidt is second to none. I would recommend him to anyone!
