Dr. Robert Edward Blais, MD

Dr. Blais was very friendly and very thorough in his questioning. He did a long exam of my hand and want to do the least invasive approach for my carpel tunnel. I was very impressed. Took me early for my appointment.

Had twisted my knee badly. Called office which took me in that day. Turns out I had a medial meniscus tear. Dr Blais tested me throughly . Very personable for sure. Not much they can really for this type of issue. But he Recommended a cortizone shot which I was hesitant at first but he assured me it wasn't that bad. Thankfully it wasn't barely felt it . It's been 2 days now and it looks like the shot has offered some relief. Doc says in 4 months I could get another one and I probably will. The Lakeway office I went to was well run . The doc and his assistant were great. I definitely would recommend.

Excellent visit. Careful examination of my knee problem, did great job of explaining the x-rays of my knees which took away my concerns about the problem. Referred me to a physical therapy specialist. Friendly and expert physician. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Blais was very professional and personable. He asked all the right questions and was able to get to the root of my problem.

Dr. Blais's Assitant was THE rudest encounter I can remember having at a dr's office. In a terse tone, she asks her first question. I attempt to clarify something, she shuts me down hard rudely saying "just answer my questions. If you do that, I think you'll find any of your questions will have been answered." I say " I don't like you. I don't like you one bit" and I start to stand because I'm going to walk out. Then she magically turns nicer & apologetic. Why not just start out nice? BAD experience Dr. Blais, himself, does not inspire confidence. Hair looks like he rolled out of bed. Couldn't work the x-ray software. Basically ignores my questions. Decides he can't find much of anything wrong. I say this has every symptom, relief, etc of ischial bursitis. "that's very rare" - "Well I have all the symptoms" I say - so finally, he offers an Rx and says I'd need one of their other drs to help me with that. I also mentioned a rib issue and before it was out of my mouth, cuts me off… saying he doesn't do ribs. Hope the other doctors there are better. Blais and his MA were bottom of the barrel.

Refused to listen to my son and take his injury seriously. Denied 2 requests for an MRI. Had to take him elsewhere for treatment. Come to find out his muscle was torn. He not only wasted our time but also prolonged my son getting the appropriate treatment. Go elsewhere!
