Dr. Robert Louis Grieco, MD

Dr. Grieco does not appear to be interested in me as a patient. I am not saying that he isn't a nice man. He just doesn't seem to like his job. Having wrote a book on Bipolar Disorder, I think he would be happier if her were a psychiatrist. Even when you are an established patient of his, it's hard to get an appointment with him. You usually have to see his P.A. His office staff are not really helpful and at times, testy. In their defense though, they are probably overworked. Dr. Grieco is not in the office a lot. He takes a lot of vacations.

I had switched PCP's due to moving further away from my original PCP (Who I think the world of) and chose Dr. Grieco as my PCP. I ended up switching back to my orginal PCP less than a year later. Dr. Grieco is very knowledgeable with treating mental health issues. He successfully diagnosed me and prescribed appropriate treatment. However, I was having problems with my Diabetes. He was less than attentive. It took forever to get an appointment with him for this. My sugar reading were running high 300-450) for quite some time and he and the physician's assistant (I do really like the physician's assistant) acted as if it was not a big deal. He finally put me on insulin. Immediately after this, I transferred back to my previous PCP who I went to for years. He has a sense of urgency that Dr. Grieco is lacking. Part of the issue could be that Dr. Grieco is not in the office a lot. It seems like he is semi-retired and always away for a week or so. If your have a number of… issues (i.e.: Diabetes, hypertension, heart issues) or serious health issues, I would not recommend him as your PCP. As I stated earlier, he is excellent in treating mental health issues. But I cannot recommend him as an overall Family Practice Doctor.

dr grieco is centrally focused on one diagnosis - bi-polar disorder. why? part of that answer may be found with what many would consider an inappropriate relationship with pharmaceutical companies and how they pay him. fact.

I have been going to Dr. Grieco for about 6 months now and he is a very good Doctor. His staff is horrible though. They are rude and don't refill your prescriptions promptly. They require a 48 to 72 lead time and if you ask for it sooner they get nasty with you and won't help you out.

The office has continuously filed wrong claims to our insurance. Every time they tell me they will fix it, they do it wrong in a different way. We have been trying to fix this for over 5 months now. Dr. Greico may be ok, but his staff leaves everything to be desired. I would not risk it if I were you!

I went to this Doctor for 30 yrs and thought he was a fantastic Doctor until i began having stomach problems first he kept telling me it was IBS then ...

I have been going to this So called Doctor for 30 years and have been sick with stomach problems for 2 years and instead of helping me find out what was wrong when i finally had enough of being told it was IBS They tried to pass the buck when and if i do find out after 2 years of pain diahria throwing up almost daily and going from 105LBS to 90 then into the 80s they are trying to pass the buck he is loser and i will never go back

Dr. Grieco is a concerned Christian man. I appreciate the time he takes to pray for me at the end of our visit.

Personal, caring, always there for me, reliable.

I would suggest Dr. Grieco to anyone who would ask me for a family doctor recommendation.He is always generous with his time when my family has an appointment. Has never made us feel rushed.His skills in the Beaver Valley are irreplaceable. He is truly one of a kind. I cant say enough about how he has helped my family.We are forever grateful.
