Dr. Robert George Holston, DO

Went to see Dr Holston to get started back on the medication he had always prescribed to me, only to have him tell me he does not prescribe that type of medication!! I had been going to him strictly FOR the medication for the last 6+ years! Then when I went to check out (I’m self-pay) the hateful receptionist told me the charge would be $135 !! When I asked why it wasn’t the normal $75 she told me I was being charged as a new patient because I had not been there in 3 years WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. (Their policy states that a person becomes a new patient after 3 years) , but it had not been 3 years yet!! UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE.

Insulting and rude, I needed a new dr cause mine had passed away. He told me I was to high risk cause I suffered from depression & anxiety, he got very angry told me I needed to look else where. I wish my mother would stop seeing, she is a diabetic but he never does blood work to see if she needs to be on the right meds or not! He is a total jerk!

This jerk has prescribed way too much medication to my husband. He’s helped my husband get addicted and also by allowing him large quantities my husband also got into selling. This company cannot have a valid reason to prescribe so much so often.

My Daughter has State Benefits as she has Downs. He was assigned to be her Doctor by the State, so I took her there and it is close to my home in Cross Plains. He had a lot of customers/patients there that morning and they all seemed to be getting good service. He came in and gave her the exam and was very nice to her. Our experience was good.

I went to this doctor today for the first time because my last physician moved away. Robert Holston was ASSIGNED TO ME by my insurance as my PCP. I am currently filing for disability because of a brain injury that occurred from a stroke. I was on life support for 10’days, and in the hospital for a month, and I needed a Doctors Opinion form filled out. I DIDN’T NEED MEDS of any kind, all I needed was AN OPINION. I brought in all of my medical records, and medications. I see a neurologist and a pain clinic every month for medications, but I am required to have a general physician for my case. Again, he was ASSIGNED TO ME by Cigna. Again, I didn’t need anything but his opinion. That’s it! This quack walked into the room and looked at me and said he was “refusing my case.” I asked him if he could explain why, and his exact words were, “You can ask but I won’t tell you. I don’t have to explain myself!” He was hateful and condescending. When I pressed him for an answer he replied, “DO… YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE SENTENCE ‘NO?’ I’ve never been treated so poorly, so hatefully by a doctor in all my life!!! Again, all I needed was an opinion! I told him I was going to report him, and and our encounter, and he said, “I don’t care if you report it to the world!” So that’s what I’m doing. Yes I was hateful BACK to him. I was steaming mad and he had the nerve to ask me why I was being that way!!! He deserved much worse! I have already filed two formal complaints with the state of TN medical board, and with Cigna, and I’m just getting started! Stay away from this guy! He doesn’t care about people and he’s not afraid to tell you he doesn’t care! I have never done a review on a doctor before, but I would give him -5 stars if I could.

I really don’t know how this man is even a doctor. He told me that people with tattoos couldn’t be trusted. Never asked me what I was there for or why! Told me this was like an interview to see if he even wanted me to be his patient. Dr. Holston kept asking me very uncomfortable questions, insinuating that I was there to get pain meds! I was there for a referral to an orthopedic Dr. but he wouldn’t have known that because we never got to discuss why I was even there. If I can save one person from seeing this horrible human being, please reconsider going to him! I left there feeling so humiliated, cried in my car the whole way home because I have never felt so wrongly judged in my life.

I’m 76 years old and he has been my doctor for the last 20 years. He is a good Dr and has diagnosed my cancer and my Kidney disease accurately and referred me to the specialist that I wanted.He has been a good Doctor for my family

If you want to be judged like you are Satan trying to make it to heaven on judgement day then this is the doctor for you. Dr. Holston is very rude, extremely judgmental, and will make you feel so uncomfortable. My first visit was my last visit.

I can not believe this man is still practicing! I should have read the reviews first. This man- not calling him a doctor, refused to see my fiancé today and ACTUALLY told him he could not he trusted because of a medication HE DISCLOSED FULLY to him, we had NEVER seen this man before, he did not know a thing about us nor did he ask. He simply went off and walked out bc of Joe's medicine. And he needed antibiotics ONLY!!! FOR A TOENAIL INFECTION . We have filed to official complaints to the state and to insurance company. This man has to be stopped!! This is not the oath a doctor swears to nor should practice by!!! We will NOT STOP !

I've always been happy with Dr. Holsten. Never had any complaints, so I made an appointment for my mom since we could not get her into her primary care Dr. She has rhemutary arthritis and multiple sclerosis. She was in a car wreck a few weeks ago and her ribs are still sore, and still has shallow breathing.. I wanted her to be rechecked since it has been a week and a half since hospital visit.. Well to my surprise he was nothing ,but rude and cold to my mom. Never asked about medical history, never asked why she was there. Told her he would not accept her as hi patient and have no reason as to why, thats 'bad enough ,but he could have handled it a little more professionally and not make the patient feel as if they did something wrong!! Never in my life have I witnessed a Dr. treat someone that way, (heard the stories though) If he felt her case was to difficult then he should have said so.. I will never go back to him. I'm switching.. I will never recommend him to anyone as I have… before.. I feel awful for taking my mom in there trusting he would do a check up on her but instead he was awful and had her in tears!! He's unbelievable!! Not sure if they thought she was lying even though we had paper work from the wreck and etc.. But never even had a chance to find out why we were there which was to check her blood pressure and breathing..
