Dr. Robert Leslie Bloom, MD

I have had Dr. Bloom for many years, I am very confident about what he tells me he is very knowledgeable, he listens to everything I say and never dismisses me without sending me for and xray or doing test to make sure he knows everything that is going on with me. I would highly recommend him and will continue to go to him as long as I live in this area. His office is quite a way from where I live but as long as I can make it there I will definitely recommend him to anyone. A head of a medical department recommend him to me to start with and I have continued with him for about 15 years.

I was a patient of Dr. Bloom for many years until 2009 when I left Virginia for Vermont after my husband's death. What can I say except I have thought of Dr. Bloom and wished he could still be my doctor. He gave me a level of confidence I have never experienced since. Now in Maryland, the distance is too great but he will remain the best doctor I have ever had.

He is a great doctor

My experience with Dr. Bloom has been outstanding. My imp0ression is that is a top-notch physician who clearly and directly explains the current conditions and strongly advises on the way ahead to remedy problems. His forthright approach in explaining things is refreshing and points to his through medical experience.

Early February, after reviewing the abnormality found in my chest x-ray, Dr. Bloom ordered a CT-scan of my chest. Dr. reviewed the CT-scan image in my presence and indicating that the results was no good and suggested that I have CT-guided lung biopsy be performed. To my disappointment, his brief comments were in line with some of the negative remarks made by his patients. However, after the biopsy results confirmed the extent of my lung cancer, Dr. Bloom superbly efficient in arranging PET scan and scheduling appointment to see the Oncologist, not to mention his brief but detailed diagnosis and instruction. Dr. Bloom has been the most responsive physician I have ever experienced. He does not talk much, but I feel confident that Dr. Bloom has my best interest at heart.

Great doctor. I was coughing, sputtering, couldn't Breathe and he had me feeling better. In 24 hours.

The last reviewer described Dr. Bloom perfectly. He is the most arrogant doctor I have ever met with ( and I have met alot of doctors). He was very dismissive and showed very little respect towards me as his patient. He did not read anything in my file before meeting with me and I had to go over details that I had just filled out on the new patient forms. What is the purpose of those forms if the doctor doesn't read them? I got the sense that he enjoyed hearing himself talk about topics that he clearly knew very little about and made up responses to the questions I asked when he really did not know the answer. His ego is so big that he could not say "I don't know what is causing your issue" and instead decided to offer the most ridiculous diagnosis I've ever heard. He then proceeded to offer me a Xanax. I can now say I have really seen it all! Complete waste of my time. Dr. Bloom was nothing but a joke.

Dr. Bloom cannot manage his time or schedule. He is arrogant and non-communicative. He shows no respect for the patient, other than as a lab specimen. He doesn't know the meaning of empathy or bedside manner. In this respect he emulates "Doc Martin".

Dr. Bloom was very friendly and knowledgable. Took my concerns seriously. Def would rec him to family and friends.

Dr. Bloom has been my family physician for over 10 years and has saved my moms life at least twice when she was admitted to the emergency room with his quick response and tremendous knowledge of medicine. He calls you himself when you have problems and always comes to the hospital to check on you and discuss your medication and health status. He is a wonderful caring doctor and we are lucky to of found him.
