Had an MRI 8 days ago and no has called to tell the results? Seriously unbelievable!

2015 & 2016 surgeries to left rc and a success. Dr Lupo is all business, compassionate, explained everything related to my surgery, and showed concern for my complete recovery. His staff is top notch. I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else. Upcoming hip surgery? No brainer...Dr Lupo

Doctor was not very informative about my knee and was not happy that I asked him to show me a copy of my MRI. Was horrible at explaining what was going on in my knee and very condescending! I asked about alternative procedures and he did not want to even discuss any other options. Not a friendly doctor and i would never let him do surgery on my knee.

Not impressed

My husband and I moved to the Erie area from Pittsburgh eight years ago. We were referred to Dr. Lupo by a friend who lived in Erie. Within months my husband needed shoulder surgery. Dr. Lupo was the surgeon and my husband's outcome was excellent. Several years later my husband needed a knee replacement. Again, Dr. Lupo was the surgeon and the result was excellent. A couple of months ago I found out that I had AVN and needed a total hip replacement. I never changed my doctors to the Erie area but kept all of my Pittsburgh doctors. When I found out that I needed surgery I immediately went back to Pittsburgh for surgical consultations. I then decided that I should have a consultation with Dr. Lupo. When I arrived for my appointment I was taken back almost immediately. Dr. Lupo went over my x-rays and my MRI with me. He explained everything in detail in a manner that I could easily understand. At that point I decided that it would be Dr. Lupo that would perform my surgery. … My decision was shocking, even to me. All of my doctors are with UPMC in Pittsburgh. In order for Dr. Lupo to perform my surgery I would have to completely go out of my UPMC network and into AHS'. This was a very big step for me to take but I felt that Dr.Lupo was the most qualified. I received a binder at my first appointment that explained everything, and more, that I needed to know from understanding my surgery all the way to recovering at home. I was given a website that I could access for support and questions and, even more important than that, I was given a 24 hour telephone number that I could call at anytime to get answers to any questions that I might have and be able to speak to a real person. I would highly recommend Dr. Lupo for anyone who is even thinking about having surgery. He and his entire staff are very knowledgeable, caring and always pleasant. I could not have asked for any more in a doctor.

Excellent surgeon and procedure - after two weeks, walking normally again - amazing

The total procedure went well and was relatively easy to work with. I would not hesitate to do it again and would highly recommend Dr. Robert Lupo. It was absolutely excellent service.

Dr. Lupo, Jess and his staff are excellent. I did extensive research on him for a hip replacement and even drove 2 hours to see him. He did a great job and I am thoroughly pleased. Being an Occupational Health Nurse I come into contact with many personalities but Dr. Lupo is kind, caring and attentive! Thank you Dr. Lupo

the front staff is cold and distant almost as if your just a bother when it takes 4 weeks to get your paper work filled out all the while receiving no income until it is completed so 4 weeks with no pay is just to much to handle very poor Dr. Lupo well is ok but way to busy takes to long to get appointments for visits and surgery not worth the mega hassle for this person again
