Dr. Robert Paul Stephens, MD

I am sharing my family experience. With Dr Stephens. I took my 1yo & 2yo to Dr Stephens for 2 years. My 6 month old & 1yo children were treated repeatedly with oral liquid antibiotics for painful boils & all they needed was to change Diaper brands. The boils persist off & on until the children were potty trained. They were having allergic boils from their diapers which he neither considered nor diagnosed as Diaper related; instead he keep them on antibiotics which wiped out their healthy gut biomes. He also recommended an online soap which in desperation to heal my precious children I bought a year supply for about $400. During the two years we had Used this MD I took my 2yo daughter in for an earache which he said was an outer ear infection and treated with expensive ear drops. The ear ache persist & my sweet daughter suffered days longer. We then returned to him & he now changed the diagnosis to an (inner ear infection ) which he proceeded to very… aggressively restrain her & flushed her ear with a solution. He made her ear drum bleed which he explained was normal. He is rough and insensitive. My little girl trusted him & he did not even try to gain her cooperation he immediately resorted to restraint mode by recruiting a staff member to hold her down. Today she is 7yo and is still traumatized by her experience of cruel & mean treatment. I had no luck getting health related parenting guidance from Dr Stephens he instead responded with judgement & mockery. On more than once I felt like an idiot for asking him a question. Our family values include loyalty and continuity so we endured with him despite the cold nature we experience from him. Hoping he would grow to soften as years would pass. I was outraged when I called to reschedule my children’s well check & his office staff informed me that he wished to terminate our relationship because this was our 3rd time to reschedule an appointment. It made no difference to the receptionist or to Dr Stephens that my reason for reschedule Was that I was just diagnosis of Breast Cancer the day before & needed to pursue immediate treatments myself. This MD business as a whole showed no heart for my family. Dr. Stephens rides a bike to work & attends a local church. In my opinion Dr Stephens shows good design & structural taste. His office is impeccable! I also noted that His community reputation is upstanding. However in the experience of my family he was neither competent nor compassionate as an MD.

Dr Stephens is amazing. However his staff is extremely rude nor do they know the office procedures. One didn’t even know when the office closed. I am torn if i should find another dr or keep dealing with his rude staff.
