Dr. Robert Jerome Wienecke, MD

Based on this visit, I would give him and his PA a zero. I am a middle class working woman who has to plan for this surgery. I explained this to his PA, stating I had to save the money for the out of pocket and deductible, as well as money for the 7 weeks off work. His PA said they have patients that aren’t 100% committed but that it’s usually not for financial reasons. I left there feeling like I was the only person in the world that is not financially secure and felt horrible about myself. Don’t go see him if you are working class and don’t have the money saved already. There is no understanding for us working class folks.

Dr Wienecke is the best. He is a very caring, compassionate person. He was very honest and upfront about what options I had regarding my back surgery. He truly cares about his patients. His staff is also very caring and kind.

Dr. Wienecke changed my life with a fusion of L5S1 . I was using 2 canes prior to surgery, came out with a great outcome! Staff was fabulous as well!

I would not let any other neurosurgeon operate on me. He has done 7 surgeries for my back and he is wonderful. Has a great personality, cares about his patients. He called me to check on me when I missed an appointment. He is amazing.

The most competent, down to Earth surgeon I have met. Completed my surgery in 2018, and I have been healing without any complications/issues. I highly recommend for minor or complex surgeries.

Dr. W is just good-plain and simple! If it can be fixed, he will fix it perfectly! If he says he can't fix it, it can't be fixed by anybody! I trust him with my life. He is kind, attentive, caring and very intelligent! I won't ever go to anyone else with neuro problems. His staff is wonderful too!

Dr. Wienecke is not only a excellent neuro surgeon, he is a doctor who takes his time with you, never rushes going over your test results, and then discusses your best options with him. I would highly recommend Dr. Wienecke to anyone looking for a neuro surgeon with excellent outcomes.

Dr. Wienecke has been my doctor since 2008. He performed surgery then and worked to get me a SCS implant. He performed surgery again in 2014. Each time he has emphasized trying alternatives prior to surgery. I personally know some of his other patience. Absolute faith in this doctor.
