Dr. Scott Walter Barttelbort, MD

Dr. Barttelbort is a very skilled plastic surgeon. He was true to his word that I would look 10-15 years younger after my face lift. He accomplished this without making it obvious that I had had surgery. This has proven to me that he is realistic in his goals for his patients. He provided attentive post-operative care in the hospital and longer term follow up over the course of months. He is like a friendly neighbor rather than the extravagantly self-obsessed plastic surgeons one might find in the magazines on airplanes. The combination of his exceptional skill and quiet confidence makes him the plastic surgeon I recommend without any reservations at all.

Those of you who know Dr. Scott Barttelbort know he is La Jolla’s top plastic surgeon and the yearly choice of top plastic surgeons when asked where they would send family members. This isn’t so much about Dr. B. as it is his associate Donna Eldredge. First a bit of background. Dr. B. has been treating me for nearly 15 years. I came to him the victim of two botched surgeries, and he was able to reconstruct my neck and chin to give me back the confidence I had so thoroughly lost. However, as the years went on, I needed more to keep me looking my best to feel confident at work. Additional surgery was not a good option. I asked Donna to treat me with dermal fillers for volume loss and facial contouring in addition to fine lines and wrinkles. Donna is a licensed esthetician and injection nurse who has worked side by side with Dr. B. for many years and constantly consults with him to get the very best results for your unique issues. For example, she filled in my temples which lose… volume as we age. Never thought of that, but really an improvement! Best decision of my life! The results are instantaneous and miraculous. Both subtle and spectacular! The fillers are cumulative, getting noticeably better with every treatment. A note here: This is an art and Donna is an artist. I shudder to think what these tools might do in the hand of a lesser talent. Actually, it doesn’t need to be imagined, just Googled. Mickey Rourke comes to mind. Donna is soft-spoken and somewhat deferential but do not let this fool you! She knows exactly what she is doing and will make sure it is done exactly right. That has been my experience and will be yours as well. If you have any doubt, please look at my pictures accompanying this post or any other pictures of her work. Price: Not the cheapest! If you are price shopping, you will find bargains elsewhere, and that would be a tragedy. This work is time-consuming and exacting and costs a great deal to provide. It also requires an unlimited amount of patience and training. I would encourage you to consider this when making your decision. I will only trust Donna to work on my only face. So, in summation, visit Dr. B., see Donna and invest properly in your result. You will see your life change in ways you cannot imagine, I did.

Dr Barttelbort is the the best surgeon and physician I have ever met. I have been seeing him for over 20 years and I am always completed impressed with his bedside manner, his office staff and his finished product. He is a 10 time Top Doc In San Diego for good reason. For those suffering from Breast Cancer Dr Hyde and Dr Barttelbort continue to be the A Team in Southern California. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Dr. Barttelbort is a wonderful doctor and his staff is the equally as wonderful. It has been a long journey and "Dr B" has been my absolute strength through the whole thing. He is the only Dr I would recommend if you find yourself having to face this type of surgery.
