Dr. Scott Laurence Wiesen, MD

The staff seemed friendly enough and the wait wasn't long. The doctor was extremely rude and arrogant. He would not let me speak to explain my issues. He kept cutting me off and just talked nonstop. He kept saying I needed a colonoscopy before he even reviewed my records or let me explain to him what was going on. When I pressed the issue and tried to get a word in on my symptoms, he rolled his chair uncomfortably close to me and in my face. In a low tone, he was "telling" me what I was going to do. It was very unsettling and creepy. I've worked in the medical field for over 40 years, and this was not professional or appropriate behavior. I couldn't get out of the exam room fast enough. It was a horrible experience.

felt threatened and unsafe in his office. The only question he asked me as he walked in the door was if I was in a relationship or had ever lived with a man. When I told him I am engaged he sat on his wheely chair and got so close his knee was between my knees. His face was maybe 8 inches from mine. He started to tell me “the difference between men and women” and I backed my chair into the wall. He moved closer, (I was backed into the wall with nowhere to go and his knee was now touching between my legs and he kept touching my knee) he suddenly stopped talking and looked at my mouth for a solid 10 seconds. I was terrified he was going to kiss me. Then he told me that he bet he could guess every one of my symptoms because I’m so classic IBS (he never once asked me a single medical question). He finally stood up and walked to get his chart. When I asked if he even wanted to hear my symptoms he laughed and said “sure why not” I told him the first one and he laughed and told me I was too… stressed. He wheeled right up into my legs again. I told him my second symptom and he laughed again telling me I needed to do yoga so I just stopped talking. He reached out without warning to touch my stomach. I left shaking and crying. This man is not well and shouldn’t be seeing patients.

Dr Wiesen seemed to be a great doctor who my family and I all went to for about 2 years UNTIL he performed an unnecessary procedure on me that did not solve my initial issue, which I was EXTREMELY clear about from the very first visit. He also failed to identify the underlying cause of my issue, which another doctor did on my first visit. Not only were office staff rude and uncooperative with a patient who was in agony post-procedure, but they insulted my intelligence and refused to accommodate a patient in that much pain for an emergency follow-up. I ended up in urgent care and needing surgery to fix what he claimed he could, then went back on his word. Dr Wiesen has caused me so much pain, humiliation, and MONEY, and his unprofessional excuse for a staff were just salt in the wound. My family members all know what has happened and all have found new doctors. We will never step foot in his office again and have even thought of suing for malpractice, but he’s not worth any more of my… time. You’ve been warned...

Dr. Wiesen is super nice and very easy to talk with. He and his staff takes time with you to ease any concerns you may have.

It was one of the best experience for something that could be really uncomfortable. He was charming, funny, explain clearly and on time. His staff was courteous and try to help in any way they could. A++++
