Marc Zare has an excellent bed side manner. He makes sure that the patient knows the complete procedure before and after the surgery. He goes over and above in taking time with the patient. After the surgery, he makes sure it went well and no unusual infections have occurred. I highly recommend Marc Zare as a surgeon. The staff are very helpful and efficient.

I wish I can give Dr. Zare 10 stars as he is one of the best doctors I've ever dealt with. He was recommended to me by my cardiologist to have the gastric sleeve preformed. I resisted and resisted and finally went in for an evaluation. He went over the different options with me and never put any pressure on me to do the surgery, he just gave me the information I needed to make my own decision. I was going to do the surgery, but After much pressure from friends and family, I put the surgery off for a year. After gaining even more weight, I went back to him to do the surgery. There was no judgment or questions about why I didn't do it sooner. He just reviewed the information with me and again let me make my own decision. His staff is simply amazing! They are kind, caring and always ready and willing to answer any questions or concerns. They took care of all the insurance paperwork and scheduled the surgery. I was very limited on my timeline for the surgery, but they made it work. The… detailed information that I was given eased my mind as I was taken step-by-step through the preop, the hospital stay and the postop. The surgery went very smooth and the recovery time was minimal. I am now more than 70 pounds lighter (about 35% of my bodyweight) and off all of my cholesterol, blood pressure, and diabetes medications. I am exercising and able to do about 35 push-ups at a time! I could barely do one before. I can honestly say Dr. Zare saved my life!

Dr. Marc Zare truly represents the best of the Hippocratic Oath. After nearly four years of severe chronic right-sided pelvic pain, Dr. Zare discovered the primary cause of all my suffering: two right-sided hernias. Since hernias are still not often connected with women, more than 20 medical specialists overlooked this possibility, resulting in wrong diagnoses and many unneeded surgeries and painful procedures. Dr. Zare took the time to hear my story, he read my medical records, he saw my tears, he felt my pain, and he did a thorough and effective hands-on exam, where he diagnosed a direct right-sided inguinal hernia. During the surgery, he also found a right-sided obturator hernia. He repaired both, and gave me back the life I had lost nearly four years earlier. He is a wonderful and wise surgeon. My husband and I are so thankful to him.

I had abdominal surgery performed by Dr. Zare. The results are close to miraculous. I never believed that my stomach-related problems would go away, but they did! My quality of life has improved dramatically. Dr. Zare is incredibly attentive, caring, detail oriented, honest, patient, and generous with his time. My only complaint is that his new office manager was rude to me several times after surgery, when I felt very vulnerable and anxious, and she also did not relay messages correctly to the doctor. Nonetheless, if you need abdominal surgery, you must go to Dr. Zare. He should get 10 stars!

Dr. Marc Zare is one of the best surgeons I have had the pleasure of coming to know in Northern California. He is professional, and in my opinion is one of the top surgeons in his field of bariatric surgery in Northern California. In my lifetime I have been to famous doctors in Beverly Hills, and in Orange County and I can honestly say that he is in their league. I highly recommend Dr. Marc Zare, and am confident that you will be delighted to have him as your surgeon. I have no regrets, other than wishing I had seen Dr. Zare 10 years ago.
