Dr. Shane Michael Woolever, DO

I was to have surgery for a torn meniscus of my RIGHT knee performed by Dr Woolever, the only problem is, in spite of all the information in my file stating my Right knee required surgery Dr Woolever actually performed surgery on my LEFT knee...oops,,,getting the Dr to admit he made a mistake in spite of glaring evidence would be a miracle. Be sure I am contacting the hospital, the state licensing commission to make sure no one else has this happen to them. Beware! Get a surgeon who takes account for their actions and is actually qualified to perform the CORRECT OPERATION. He should be known as Cleopatra, the queen of denial. I hope that War Memorial Hospital he works out of comes to their senses and refuse to let him operate in their facility.

My granddaughter had broken her ankle and dislocated her knee, we were referred to Shane Woolever and kept the appointment. Harley is 10 years old so being concerned about any surgery on her, I reached out on Facebook to friends and family asking should we get a second opinion, seeing it was 90% positive we decided to go ahead with the surgery. We too Harley to the hospital she was prepped and ready. The last minute Dr. Woolever walked in and said, "I'm cancelling surgery" my daughter asked why,he said I think you know, she said no I dont, he said "Do you have social media?"and at that point my daughter knew he was referring to my post. His arrogance was unconscionable we were completely at a loss. Would I recommend him, NEVER

I am alway stuck seeing the nurse and never see him.

Surgery went well. After care was nonexistent did not listenen to my concerns. I ended up at another medical facility who found a infection

Does not listen. Comes in with an idea of what’s wrong before I even speak. Doesn’t care

Emergency hip surgery due to an accident. He was there and i ssw him in my room several times he didn't just do the work and disappear.

If my appt is at 10 am I can handling waiting 10 to 15 mins but the fact that every time I come here my wait is over an hour sitting in a room
