Dr. Shardul Ashwin Nanavati, MD

Dr. Nanavati is amazing. The first time I saw him as a patient is when he helped save my life 12 years ago. I'm here today because of him and the team that treated me. I have been his patient for the past 12 years. I find him to be knowledgeable, caring and a true professional. I have complete trust in Dr. Nanavati. My husband is having a major health concern, and he is under the care of Dr. Nanavati which puts my mind at ease because I know my husband is getting the best care from him.

Horrible customer service from this office. I had trouble cancelling the procedure that they would not get a timely pre-auth for. Excuses. Refused to have the Dr call me. Hung up on me; said I raised my voice. Do not become a patient with Dr Nunavati if you want TRUST.

This doctor couldn’t be worse. Staff are nasty, the doctor doesn’t care that as a patient you are expected to wait excessively for a visit. Bad planning, rude demeanor. Find someone else

I was awaken to the rude shock when I got bill from the Anesthesia provider which is KAN Anesthesia. When I signed up for a procedure, I made sure that the doctor is within my insurance network, which was confirmed by the staff. But after the procedure, I got a bill from KAN anesthesia saying that they are not in my insurance network therefore they will charge me more than my insurance coverage. When I called Dr. Nanavati's office, they told me that its my responsibility to check with Anesthesia provider. I am not sure why I have to deal with different parties of the procedure, when I have taken appointment with Dr.Nanavati office. Be careful with the billing, they told me that my copay is $$$, whereas insurance told me that I am covered 100%. When I bought this to the notice of Dr.Nanavati office, then they said that its covered.

Could not find the source of my GI bleeds. Staff ripped a heart monitor of my chest after my asking them to be cautious tearing and scarring my chest. Another gastro found my lesions in the mid intestine!

Very caring. Researchs for futurer care with difficult cases like mine.

He will abandon you after your visit. No response after numerous phone calls. Swear clear

I'm a little disturbed by some of the negative comments here! Dr Nanavanti was very pleasant with me. He's very professional and sticks to the point of your visit.......he doesn't want to talk about the weather or football, he concentrates on your medical issue! I paid my co-pay, had a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and was charged accordingly to my insurance. People need to know that your insurance is the one responsible for paying the bill and therefore people should not make negative comments about the doctor. Insurance comes in all grades, if you have the ECONOMY POLICY then you should expect to bear most of the cost.........you get what you pay for! Dr Nanavanti was very pleasant with me, stuck to the topic, explained to me everything regarding the test results as well as all my options...........what more would you expect from your doctor? Yes, you are going to WAIT (45 minutes) because of the volume of patients! Generally speaking, I find it comforting to see a waiting room full… of patients........it kind of tells you he's a good doctor as he has lots of patients........HELLO!! No one is perfect and everyone always has room for improvement however, Dr Nanavanti is worthy of a 5 star rating in my opinion.

Staff is rude, doctor is in a big hurry, doesn't seem to understand issues with gluten. I was told to read articles on internet after $245 office visit! The way their surgical suite is set up for colonoscopies etc., you are made to feel like a herd of cattle.

Dr. Nanavati came highly recommended to for colonoscopy procedures. We found him to be very professional, thorough and knowledgable. Unfortunately, his office staff is just the opposite and therefore we will no longer be seeing or recommend Dr. Nanavati. Prior to my wife and I having the colonoscopy, I contacted the anesthesiology office and was told they accepted our insurance. However, the anesthesiology company ("ALN") Dr. Nanavati works with employs only Certified Nurse Anesthesiologists, not one MD on Staff. Based on that, our insurance company (UnitedHealth Care) denied the claims and we each received an invoice. We always use Doctors within our Network and had been told by ALN their invoice would be covered. We received no assistance from Dr. Nanavati's staff in resolving this matter and we will not be returning to a Doctor who employs an unresponsive staff and a company such as "ALN".
