Dr. Sheetal Patel is a very professional, experienced, and kind individual. She gave my mother a clear explanation of everything, and we left her office feeling content and joyful. Because of her excellent service, I would HIGHLY recommend her. May she and her team be blessed. Ameen

If you want a physician's office to listen to the needs of their patients, THIS IS NOT THE OFFICE FOR YOU. Dr. Patel's social media persona is not the same person you will meet in office. Unless you fit a certain demographic or are self pay (not using insurance), this is not the office for you. I am very disappointed with how I was treated by Lena and Dr. Patel. I came to her for a consultation and they spent all their time trying to tell me about my insurance plan rather than listening to my concerns. Lena will over talk you because she "knows" everything. I even called my insurance company on 3 way for them to explain my coverage, and she kept over talking them to the point I had to drop her from the call (I have a PPO by the way). Even after that interaction, I still tried to give Dr. Patel a chance based off my perception of her social media platform. The moment she walked in, she was on defense mode trying to defend Lena. She was rude, dismissive, and condescending. The moment… she started to tell me Lena's autobiography, I knew she didn't care about my concerns. We never discussed what I came to talk about. The subject of self pay was mentioned a couple times by Lena and Dr. Patel. As a APRN (and doctoral student) who is also a Nursing professor, and formal employer of Medical City, I was appalled with how I was dismissed. She treated me as if I was beneath them, with no knowledge of health insurance and healthcare as a whole. Dr. Patel and Lena are the examples that I discuss with my students about Professionalism, Civility within healthcare, and treating patient's with dignity and respect. All patients deserve to be treated with dignity and an acknowledgment of their value as individuals. My DIP project is on treatment black women in healthcare and how patients aren't being heard when it comes to their care. Dr. Patel, you should never judge someone on how they look. You walked in that examine and assumed that I didn't know much about healthcare/ health insurance. The way you spoke to me was unacceptable and I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate anyone speaking to your family/ anyone from your culture that way. You under estimated me. I have filed a grievance, messaged the CMO, CNO, and CEO. I will also be posting this review on the TMB and all review boards. No patient should be made to feel the way you made me feel that day.
