Dr. Sol Elena Velez Cortes, MD

I moved to Boynton Beach in 2017 and before I even thought of getting a primary I had a stroke. Dr Velez was recommended and I've never looked back. She is thorough, extremely intelligent and actually listens to you. I feel safe to be in her hands which helps me hear what she says and I make changes that are always positively impacting my life.

Extremely Long wait time always! Office personnel have no people skills.

Dr. Velez took care of my mother and now me. She is excellent at diagnosing problems and providing superior treatments. Her bedside manner is exceptional. I always feel comfortable talking to her about anything and she takes time to listen. I have been with Dr. Velez for over 25 years and would never change internists. Dr. Velez saved my mother from another doctor who nearly let her die from colon cancer. There will never be enough great things I could say about Dr. Velez!

I would like to say that Dr. Velez has been my physician for the last 19 years, and I feel that she is the reason that I have reached my 86th year in good health. Her concentration has been on preventing medical problems from occurring as opposed to waiting for them to break out and then curing them. She is an absolutely brilliant physician, and knows my body intimately both in and out. She also is great at remembering my history, both from when I started going to her and even before. The medications that I am on are monitored very carefully for effectivity and side effects. She is very caring and personable, and her office staff consists of a number of people who work very efficiently, and don’t allow anything to “slip into the cracks”

I can't imagine ever going to another primary care physician. My mother, my husband, and I have been seen Dr. Sol Velez for at least 15 years. She has saved us from numerous, serious illnesses and injuries (including a brain tumor, prostrate cancer, colon cancer, fractures, only to name a few). She is compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Velez takes time to listen and work with her patients to give them exceptional treatment. I am so lucky to have found her!!!

You will be fine with Dr. Velez, her rude, negligent, incompetent staff, and the quack neurologist husband with whom she effectively shares a practice, as well as the nasty habits of overprescribing toxic medicines, and not returning calls when they produce harrowing side effects. Otherwise, stay away.

All my friends kept taking about her every time we go out to dinner. They love her. And every time the group gets bigger! What can I say, compassionate, professional, caring, listens to you, exa you, never in a rush. Very respectful and had made a great difference in my health. Dr. Velez is board certified and recertified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She has a great fund of knowdledge and more important, a great heart!
