Dr. Sonia P Eapen, MD

Dr Eapen is a good doctor overall but her office staff can be rude and they do not answer their phones or return calls with any sense of urgency. I wish they would show more concern for patients.

I have been under her care for almost 10 years now. She is knowledgeable and up to date on the state of the art with treatments and medications. But what sets her apart from the rest is her ability to not only truly listen, but she has a non-judgmental, compassionate and caring attitude. She is upbeat positive and is flexible. She is sensitive to costs of meds and will be mindful of ways to help with medication costs too. Recommended in highest terms.

Dr. Eapen makes you feel at home, like speaking to a good friend. She is though and doesn't want a bunch of extra tests unless you need them. Her experience is golden.

Dr. Eapen does not keep her word to Patients, causing quite a bit of hardship. Anything you get from her needs to be in writing!

At one point I had no health insurance (briefly) Dr. Sonia Eapen was there for me, she worked with me as a self-pay patient. She treated me with the utmost respect and gave me amazing services. Dr. Eapen reassures and always take plenty of time to explain exactly what I am dealing with when it comes to my health. I hope the community realizes that (Texas Endocrine) Dr. Sonia Eapen Is an excellent physician. I could not have been more pleased with the medical treatment provided to me. Dr. Sonia and her staff are truly a cut above the rest. They always check in with me timely and unlike other offices, always care of the patients wait time. They are caring, efficient, and friendly. Their office is also state-of-the-art, reflective of their superior service level and patient care. Truly admire the team at Texas Thyroid and Endocrine Center.

I have been a patient with Dr. Eapen for two or three years now and, although she is nice and had a good bedside manner the first time I met her and for my first appointment, I feel like she is now a bit rushed. I don't feel that she hears all my concerns or tries to fix the problems. Every time I talk to her, all I hear is "your numbers look good". I know there is more to it. In addition, I am not sure why, but I can NEVER get the appointment time I need. I am a teacher, so I, like many others, cannot just take off in the afternoon to have a five minute conversation with the dr. Many others need that convenience too. I'm not sure why a lot of doctors feel like it is okay to have a last appointment of 3:30. So, I ask permission to get off at 3:15 to get to the appointment at 3:30 and sit in the waiting room until 3:50 and in the office until 4:10. I have NEVER been pulled to the back in a timely matter. The desk staff is so unfriendly, both in person and on the phone. … Also, whenever you call, you go straight to voicemail and have to wait for them to call you back. How can you call to ask a question or make an appointment on your free time when you have to leave a message. Needless to say, I will be looking for another Endocrinologist.
