Dr. Srilakshmi G Mitta, MD

I met Dr Mitta during an emergency stay at Women and Infants Hospital. She was extremely kind and well informed on everything I asked her. Most importantly, she's one of the only doctors I've met in years that TRULY views her patients as a whole person and not just a set of symptoms she's set out to cure. If that's confusing, she treats the person medically, emotionally, and takes the time to listen to what you have to say. One of my favorite things is that when she's talking to you, she stops typing and really dives deep into everything you're telling her. I can't say enough good things, i'd highly recommend her to anyone.

She's incredible. The Bad Diagnosis, arrogant doctor commenter is reviewing the wrong Doctor. There was a Doctor with the same last name, different spelling in the practice. That comment should be removed because Dr. MITTA is world class.

I love Dr. Mitta. She is down to earth and really listens. Her bedside manner is excellent. Highly recommend her!!

I had to write this review to help anyone else who thinks of going to her. First of all the doctor is arrogant and cocky. I am a scientist myself but she would ridicule my thoughts and go as far as to say " little knowledge is dangerous". She couldn't diagnose my ailment in time, which my ametuer husband could in just a day. She kept me suffering before she would refer me. My insurance allows me to go to any specialist without referal. But she would get angry as to why I didnt ask for it! Last but not the least, she wouldnt release my records on my multiple requests. It was a nighmare trying to reach her when you need her. I finally left her and looked for another doctor. Not to mention her diagnosis is pretty bad too.

Dr. Mitta is the best primary care doctor I've had. I recommend her very very highly. She is thorough and attentive and answers all questions. The problem is getting someone to answer the phone. Seems like the secretaries answering machine is on alot which is frustrating when trying to get through.

Dr. Mitta provides excellent diagnoses and has a great bedside manner. I have never felt hurried in an appointment with her. She is attentive to every detail, both in getting to know a patient's medical history and in making clinical observations. She's also committed to helping patients with whatever health problems they have, whether big or small. She's quick in responding to emails, and I've always been able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours (and usually sooner).
