Dr. Stacie Laurel Chasin, MD

Dr. Stacie was never nice to my father mother ot me. She has an antagonistic quality that shouldn't be overlooked when considering sending your child to see her. She misdiagnosed me and denied there was anything wrong with me. She said I didn't have strep and I did. My mother had to ask her to give me the test. Then she said I didn't have hypothyroidism and I did, and a very bad case of it along with other hormonal deficiencies. I wouldn't be as pent up if she was simply a nice person but bad doctor, because I would have simple have left it at that and left her-however she is a horrible person and obviously hates teens and other adults. There are better doctors in the area there is no reason to send your child to see her, even if it is just for a sinus infection.

Okay. It is a practice both a walk in and primary care. I went and found the place pretty empty and the staff very rude as i was told to wait. Dr Stacie as she is called, so as not to be confused with the other Dr who is also a Chasin (her father) was an unhealthy fat woman which concerned me right away. How is a person supposed tro take an obese, out of shape woman seriously as a care giver when she doesn't even take care of herself. I had blood work done for a routine visit to establish care and she never bothered to get back to me to let me know my results and i had to call 4 times dealing with very rude women on the phones. I needed to recheck some tests but was not notified until finally i told them i wanted my results or to send them and only then did a nurse finally call me and tell me to come back. I went straight to Rockland to a better practice where the Drs are more attentive, take better carfe of themselves and dress in clean clothes and keep their weight below 50 lbs… overweight. She was a sight to see and a very bad Dr beside her disheveled appearance.

With all the urgent care facilities popping up all over the place you are better off at a better one. Stacie is a witch with a nasty disposition when she chooses and a sugar pie face when she chooses. Forget about the father, he is a very depressed, mean old coot. Neither of them are good Drs unless you just need a shot or something. The staff is mostly rude, obnoxious and if i could give the entire first care experience less than 1 star i would.

There's better urgent cares out there. She and the other Dr (her relative?) don't know what they are doing and the woman working the phones are a nightmare to deal with

I wasn't aware when i went to First care that it was a practice of father and daughter until i was told to avoid confusion the daughter is called Dr Stacie. I thought "oh how quaint" "oh how country". "Dr Stacie" is a complete incompetant as is her father. The father who i had seen in the past for check ups proved to fail miserably as a Dr. when i actually got sick so i went to "Dr. Stacie" when i wasn't feeling well hoping she would be a better Dr. She wasn't. There is a reason that she works for her father and i assume because she is as incompetant as him. I wouldn't reccomend going to either unless you have a broken arm or need stiches or some other blaringly obvious diagnosis.

Dr Chasin is about the worst dr. i have ever had.She is nice enough but absolutely knows nothing. I cannot imagine a less incompetant dr than her and her father is no better. (they work together) It is amazing to me how medical schools just give out licence's to such low quality care givers.

Battling a sinus infection was not as bad as battling the office, firstly to ask a question (They all just chatted among themselves as i stood there staring at them until one finally said "oh, yes what is it?" ) Dr. Stacie wasn't sure if it was a sinus infection (which i get every spring) she was so indecisive regarding diagnosis and treatment that i left with a prescription and follow up appt. and threw the paper in the garbage and went over to crystal run.

Stacie has never had a job with anyone but her father. She is completely inexperienced, and incompetent. I had a severe kidney infection nearly sepsis and she gave me 7 days of levaquin. When it worsened she sent me for a ct scan which i was told not to do as it would only worsen a kidney problem. I went (after playing games with her for 3 weeks) to the hospital with 104 temperature and was admitted immediately and given high doses of antibiotics which saved my life. The bacteria was resistant to the levaquin we later learned and she simply said"I stand by my diagnosis that levaquin would have treated it if it were a UTI. I'm still on IV medications trying to see how much damage has been left to my kidneys because of her incompetence. She is a disgusting woman. On a side note the office staff is rude, obnoxious and only one of them even nice at all. The lawyer says negligence on her part can be the only reason if the kidney damage is determined irreversible.
