Dr. Stephen Alexander Baum, MD

I've been a patient of Dr Baum more than 20 years. His knowlege of medicine is at the top of his field. He always takes time with me and answers my questions completely and to my satisfaction. I could not be happier with any other doctor in charge of my health.

Dr Baum used to be a great doctor. He would take time to listen to patients and try a few theories in hopes of discovering the best, most accurate diagnosis. Now it seems the insurance companies own him... Instead of listening to patients, he has become dismissive of symptoms and fond of quoting the "statistical likelihood" of you having an illness rather than taking the time to believe your symptoms and connect the dots--wherever they may lead. He no longer seems willing to run tests and is much more quick to just prescribe this-or-that medication, when just two years earlier he preached against such approaches to medicine. All of this has been quite disheartening to witness as I really enjoyed having Baum as my primary physician. He had (past tense) great bedside manners and was thorough and accurate in seeking diagnosis. I have been seeing him for many years and you could tell he used to love medicine, but now, he comes across bitter and cynical about the whole… medical system. It is like the industry took away his creativity and freedom to practice.... Very sad indeed.

I have been going to Dr. Baum for year's and he is the best! He is so friendly, and makes me feel comfortable. He is never in a rush, and will take his time to listen.

Dr. Baum is a straight shootin' doctor-he calls it like he sees it. He is willing to get you to specialist or recommend one and is always willing to work with the patient in the best possible low impact solutions. Never too quick to write you a script you don't need and is always open to suggestions/concerns. Our family loves him!!!!
