Dr. Stephen Cairone, DO

I have been dealing with very serious lower back problems for a number of years. In the past when my back flared up, I was able to get relief by getting steroid shots. So, this time around I decided on same treatment. No good just didn’t work! I was advised that I needed back surgery. I met with several spine specialists and was informed that my condition was very serious. They told me my recovery time would be almost a year! Also, my activities would be very limited! Then I met with Dr Stephen Cairone. He had x rays taken, in his office, which showed the the deterioration in my lower back which was causing the nerves to be pinched resulting in my severe crippling pain! He then said to me “I can fix this for you”! I guess it was the way he said it with total confidence, that made me decide to go forward. I said jokingly “Do you have time today?” We both laughed. It's been twelve days now since my surgery was preformed and I am to walk without any assistance.… That's right twelve days not six months to a year as I was advised by the other surgeons. Sure I still have some pain at the incision sites. I am improving every day. Thanks to Dr. Cairone I am going to have my life back. I am extremely grateful to this brilliant and caring surgeon! I had ACDF surgery levels C 4-C6 about 3 months ago. I had been experiencing neck pain with shoulder numbness & tingling for years. I had tried alternative pain relief therapies with temporary relief. I chose Dr Cairone because of his knowledge and confidence in performing my procedure. He was always upfront & answered all my questions . My 2 week post operative period was uncomfortable but my neck pain & tingling are gone and my neck range of motion was not greatly impacted. I made a good choice in choosing Dr Cairone.

I Thank Dr Cairone for allowing me to go back to my every day life again. I pushed off surgery a long time. Tried shot( I know they work for some ) . And Dr Cairone told me to go that route which I did . Unfortunatly it did not help. The surgery has allowed me to get back to the joys of playing pool, softball at the age of 57most of all lifting my grandchildren up. I thank him for giving that back to me.

I saw Dr. Cairone for disc pressing on sicati. He did surgery to correct the problem with good results. Would definitely recommend

unprofessional, lacks compassion. will avoid your questions with either a one word answer or say he will be right back and doesn't.

This guy is a complete jerk. Doesn't give his patients a chance to speak and assumes they are wasting his *time*. Never had I encountered someone so unprofessional as this guy. Save your own time and see someone else.

I was unable to walk without severe pain from a herniated disc from years ago that became chronic a few months ago. I was going to work 1 day per week and coming back to writhe in pain on my bed. Dr. Cairone and his team got the MRI and the surgery approved in a short time, and I had surgery at their surgery center in Lawrenceville. I had immediate relief after I woke up from surgery and 2 weeks post-op I will start PT, and return to work (teach HS) next week. Thank you Dr. Cairone and staff!

Dr. Cairone initially referred me to Dr. Bills for treatment of osteoporosis. At Dr. Bills urging, I returned to Dr. Cairone for kyphoplasty. The surgery was extremely successful. He explained the surgery in terms that I could understand. When I awakened after the surgery, the pain level was markedly reduced. Two weeks after that surgery, I experienced pain in a different area of my back. Dr. Cairone diagnosed spinal stenosis. He suggested getting an epidural. This treatment, while not as remarkable, also worked well. I highly recommend Dr. Cairone for any spinal surgery needed. He is a gifted surgeon and makes sure you understand and are comfortable with the recommended procedure.

Dr Cairone is bringing me back to a healthy life style, and I am able to stand up erect without shooting pain down the back of both legs. Go talk to him, he doesn't beat around the bush and gives you options to correct any issues about the health of you spine.

Dr Cairone has always been a calming presence during all my office visits. He explains things in detail without overcomplicating. I never had second thought about the quality of care I'd receive when I recently elected to have surgery. I feel almost 100% better in a very short period of time. Would highly recommend. You're in good hands with Dr Cairone
