This doctor had the temerity to tell his staff he didn’t want to be bothered with me Amy more (after bungling my surgery), in my presence. He didn’t realize I hadn’t left the office yet.

I had bledding problems for over 10 years, I went to over 10 different Doctors and none of them solve my problem. It only took one visit to Dr. Hishorn to find out that finally i was in the right place. He perform a surgery and now im good. You can’t go wrong. Excellent Staff.

This Dr. scheduled a colonoscopy for me at Griffin hospital. The first day I was supposed to start "the cleanse", I called and was shocked to hear they cancelled my surgery because they were not accepting the "financial agreement" with Husky D. If you're not going to accept a specific insurance, then DON'T CLAIM YOU DO! They claimed they sent me a letter, which I did not receive. His website STILL claims they accept Husky D even though he apparently "refuses" to do so. Don't waste your time!

I was in so much pain Dr Hirshorn came into the office on a day he doesn't see patients due to performing surgeries in the Hospitals. He genuinely cares about his patients and spends time with them thoroughly explaining the Diagnosis and listening to any questions. If there is ever a wait when i go i don't mind because unlike most Dr's he doesn't rush through the visit just to get to the next Patient. His staff is also very caring. I read a couple of reviews about him " Mis Diagnosing " No Dr is perfect. I went to Griffin Er Twice and was mis diagnosed. Was told i had shingles and i couldn't go near anyone! I missed my sisters baby shower and when i went to another Dr he laughingly told me that it was just an Allergic reaction! Needless to say No Dr is Perfect! Dr Hirshorn also has a wonderful sense of humor making my visit every time a little less nerve wracking. I just Love how people only write negative reviews. No one EVER writes the GOOD!

This doctor felt he could do better than 2 other physicians. Wish my father had listened to the wiser physicians. He was so convincing, please avoid any colonoscopies, another Surgeon had to step in and do major surgery!!!! He works in Griffin Hospital and St. Vincents Hospitals. Please be aware.

This Dr. was wrong about my mother's lesion on her buttocks. He told her it was an ulcer and it was only a form of dermatitis and irritation. We went to another Dr. and the other Dr. told us he was wrong and had no business giving that diagnosis without knowing the facts. He did not ask us any questions, did not spend any time gathering information and was short and rude to me while I was there. He incorrectly and hastily diagnosed my mother.

Although Dr. Hirshorn is nice, his staff is SO bad that it became a deal breaker for me. Last straw was today. I had waited 2 weeks for an appointment. at his Bridgeport office. I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told that Dr. Hirshorn was not there and no longer sees patients there. No one had bothered to call and tell me. The girls there (making it clear they are NOT his staff) thought he might be in the Derby office but they couldn't reach the office by phone. So, since I was in pain, I drove there. I got there only 10 min. "late" for my appointment that was supposed to be in Bridgeport only to find the Derby door locked. The lights were on and I knocked but no answer. I called the answering service and they didn't know why I couldn't get in. I understand that stuff comes up, including emergencies. But at the VERY least, tell your answering service what's going on. This whole experience tells me that Dr. Hirshorn and his staff don't care about their patients at all. Needless… to say, I'm getting a new doctor.
