Dr. Suhail Ahmed Masudi, MD

I had my initial visit with Dr. Masudi a few weeks ago. The visit went well. He was very knowledgeable about my condition and he was very straightforward and to the point which I like. The only downside, and it wasn't a huge deal was, I felt he took something I said out of context, or it could have been the way I expressed it (I am very open to taking responsibility for my part); either way, there was a little bit of a lack of communication only on one topic. Communication was great otherwise. It takes time to get to know someone and develop communication and understanding and it was only our first visit. Overall I was very satisfied with my visit and look forward to Dr. Masudi being my Endocrinologist.

Dr. Masudi is an excellent clinician as well as a compassionate person. He knows his endocrinology specialty very well. He listens and answers questions thoroughly. I have been with him for 11 years and have profited from his wise care.

The worst experience , staff is friendly . He ares more about cramming in as many people as he can on his daily roster so that he can pay for that boat he spends his weekends on

This doctor has no bedside manner, will not listen to any thing you have to say even though you live in your body and he doesn’t. Thinks he knows everything and you know nothing. I’ve spent hours reading and researching and this is what I’ve found - This dr still thinks that TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) is the gold standard for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid dysfunction. Unfortunately TSH alone does not provide a complete picture. He refuses to run a full thyroid panel (including TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Reverse T3, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies, Thyroglobulin Antibodies) even though I have every symptom of hypothyroidism. He wouldn’t listen to the research that has been done in 3 different studies connecting Epstein Barr Virus with hypothyroidism. When asked what else it could be he said “he didn't know”, yet he wasn’t willing to run more test to find out either. I going through menopause but no hormone test was ran either. If you want a doctor who works with you instead of… telling what to do, this is NOT the doctor for you.

I had one appointment with him, then wrote a note asking for a clarification. His response was like a reprimand, full of finger-shaking and self-protection. I was offended at this and decided to see another doctor. When I wrote in canceling my next appointment, I received the answer "yes Sir!" Why do I react so badly to that?

I wish i had read these comments before i went to this Dr my insurance change so i had to find a new Dr. He is the worst Dr ever he does not listen to his patients. I went to see last week about a problem i been having and he just dismiss my questions he does not spend time with his patients you wait for over an hour to see him and he spent less than 15 min with you. I am not going b ack to see him

One advice Dr. Masudi. You need to listen to your patients. Went to Dr. Masudi I was telling him how sick I was. For my age my blood calcium was high. As an Endocrinologist he should know calcium level is ages related. I wasn't sleeping, I was loosing my memory, I was lethargic. I had no energy, every part of my joint was painful. I couldn't come out of bed. I was in the bathroom 24/7. My heart was skipping beats. I felt I was going to have a heart attach. The malaise was all over my soul. I was sad because I was dying. I wanted to call it quit. I didn't have the energy to wants to live. But I wasn't a quitter. I have 4 beautiful children. I have 2 little ones at home that I have to take care. I went to him tell him all that. I told him it could be my parathyroid glands. He told me it has nothing to do with the way I was feeling. I told him I did research. Every symptoms I have said I have severe parathyroiditist. I told him I am going for a second opinion because I feel like I am… dying. So I went to Tempa fl. To Norman Parathyroid Center. They did a scambi scan. They found 2 tumors in my parathyroid glands. They went in they take out 2 tumors from my parathyroid glands. After the surgery I felt a surge of energy. The next day the pain in all my joints was gone. It's been 2 1/2 months. I was actually sleeping, my memory are coming back slowly. I am not slurring my words anymore. My husband and children are so happy to see that I became involved in everyday decisions again in our house. The fact that I was in the medical field saved my life. Dr Masudi told me my malaise has nothing to do with my high calcium. I proved him wrong. My surgeon send the reports to him. I no longer wants him to be my Dr.
