Dr. Syed Salman Jafa Naqvi, MD

My experience with Syed Naqvi, MD, of Newport Center Medical Group was extremely disappointing . At first, he seemed pleasant, which gave me hope that I had found a doctor who would listen and take my concerns seriously. Unfortunately, after several visits, I felt completely dismissed. Instead of taking the time to dig deeper and understand the root cause of what I was experiencing, it felt like he was quick to prescribe medication and move on. I left feeling unheard, frustrated, and unsupported. To him all he cared about was that he got a new patient and he would get paid. When you trust a doctor with your health, you expect care, attention, and a genuine effort to help, and that was not my experience here. Looking back, I wish I had researched other patient experiences more carefully before choosing him. I got a letter in the mail from his office indicating struggles to keep up with expenses and he is now offering concierge services. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him.

Excellent caring Doctor! Knows his stuff!

DR. Naqvi is treating my mom, who has emphysema and COPD. He obtained her as a patient during her emergency hospitalization due to life-theatening obstructed breathing. He was assigned as her Pulmonologist. He has a gentle and caring bedside manner and has been able to restore her breathing to a comfortable place. Her oxygen level breathing on her own has gone from the mid 70% range to 97%. She is able to be more active now, and can even do yoga. Thanks to Dr. Naqvi.

I am so greatful to him for the treatment for my dad. He takes good care of his patients.
