Dr. Friday is amazing!! She is always on time and, better yet, she comes out to get her patients, I have never had a doctor do this before. She listens and is respectful and very professional. Ignore the negative reviews. She is wonderful

She banished me from Noran Clinic because I questioned her stopping my sleep medication cold turkey. She was unwilling to listen to me and treated me disrespectfully. I will never go back to Noran clinic again. I am now seeing a kind doctor who is patient and caring.

I saw Dr. Friday for progressive muscle weakness and muscle stiffness. She told me there was no medical reason for my symptoms, and that I should go to therapy for my concerns. I was later diagnosed with a congenital myopathy thorough a geneticist. If you want someone who actually listens to your concerns, I would steer clear of Dr. Friday.

Not good experience as she doesn’t seem to listen and responds to messages rudely and many days later.

I was told to arrive 20 minutes early. Then waited 40 minutes (plus the 20 for a total of 60 minutes) to be seen. This would be acceptable however, if the appointment was satisfactory. Unfortunately I felt that she lectured 'at' me for most of the visit, I could hardly get a word in. I did ultimately have to interrupt her a few times to try to interject the primary reason I had scheduled the appointment. I don't feel comfortable moving forward with a physician relationship in which I do not feel heard. I left feeling that I should seek care elsewhere.

Went to see Dr Friday with husband, who she was treating, who suffers from minor epileptic episodes. Dr Friday put him on Vimpat? (Not sure of the spelling). I brought in several pages of very negative adverse side effects of this drug. She kept ignoring me. I told her that he could hardly carry on a simple conversation, he sleeps 11 to 12 hours a night, wakes up takes her recommended medication and goes back to sleep. He has had accidents since starting her recommended meds. She blew me off and recommended that he not only continue to take the Vimpat, but continue to increase the dosages!!!! I have now gone to a 5 star epilepsy specialist who agrees that the meds she put him on are not good for my husbands quality of life. I would not recommend this doctor. She DOES NOT LISTEN. It is her way or the highway. Wouldn't recommend Dr Friday.

I have been a patient of Dr Friday in the sleep clinic for 2 years and am NEVER GOING BACK. I think she does an extreme disservice to her patients and I am concerned that they may take her advice and not seek the real answers to their medical problems. Yes, I am crabby and irritable but you would be too if you haven't had a decent nights sleep in months. I had to go to a FACEBOOK page on Periodic Limb Movement Disorder and get answers to my questions Dr Friday should have known. Let's go back - I was a patient of Dr Lux, also at Noran, for years. He was monitoring my severe cervical stenosis and spondylosis. In 2012 a bone spur grew into my spinal cord C5/6 and did damage - Mylomelicia. Upon further research I discovered on my own that this probably is what made my PLMD significantly worse. Dr Friday had access to all of my MRI's because they were all done at NORAN CLINIC but not sure she even looked at them. By 2017 when I made an appointment in the sleep clinic I had… already under gone 2 surgeries. One for my neck and another for my knee - back to back. Dr Friday gave me a sleep medication that cost more than my car payment $600 a month. She also gave me a couple of other medications but I was still tired all the time. By 2019 I had 2 more surgeries - this time for my thyroid and a knee replacement and by now I'm really not sleeping well and beyond exhausted. So count -4 surgeries in 4 years. This time Dr Friday suggested I go see a psychiatrist. I asked her for a referral to the Mayo Clinic Sleep Study center as I heard they do a comprehensive evaluation. SHE TURNED TO ME AND SAID NO. THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR YOU THAT I CAN'T. I had to go to my primary care doctor for a referral to the Mayo. That doctor ordered blood work. Turns out all those surgeries did a number on my IRON LEVEL. I'm anemic. But I guess going to a psychiatrist is going to help with that!! I would strongly urge you NOT TO GO TO DR FRIDAY. Get a complete physical and blood panel to see what could behind your fatigue before going to their sleep clinic.

Dr. Friday: Minimal standard care aside, the more you ask questions, when you finally get a response (not from the doctor, from Laurie 2-weeks later) the responses are terrible, and Laurie just wants to argue. Dr. Friday treats you until she tired of the patient then wants to spin you off on another doctor. I've been waiting for test results for several weeks and all I hear are crickets. Typical Noran!!!

With my bevy of health conditions, I have encountered many different physicians and specialists in hopes that I will leave the appointment or procedure with positivity. Dr. Tacjana Friday is easily the most knowledgeable, thorough, and interactive doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. On top of being extremely competent, she is kind, caring and really takes her time with her patients. She addresses every concern with careful contemplation and genuine concern. Highly recommend.

She does not listen. She does not empathize. She does not take into account contradictory information. She cannot fathom why someone might be upset when she tells them that their Central Sleep Apnea (diagnosed years and years ago) is miraculously cured... which causes the insurance company to stop paying for anything having to do with it. She sticks with her data, and only her data. And while there is something to be said for sticking to your guns, when you ignore everything that your patient is telling you, something is wrong. I came into her office because I felt constantly tired. And because extremely early is the only time I could get, I came in tired and dull. She took one look at that, figured I had depression, and then set out to PROVE that I didn't have any sleep conditions, despite the fact that I did not come there to be psychoanalyzed. She implied that the previous sleep study I had done (which showed that I had Central Sleep Apnea, a condition that doesn't just vanish… out of nowhere) was incompetently handled. She didn't bother to attempt to convince me of anything, just repeating her results over and over, ignoring anything else I said. She didn't bother to assuage any of my concerns, nor did she try to help solve the new problem I had: that I was diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea and was now being told by her that I didn't have it and I now wasn't sure what the reality was. When irritation inevitably happened, she did not handle it professionally. She interrupted, shut it down, and ignored any questions that were asked with an annoyed tone. She outright said something along the lines of, "I have a degree in X," implying that I couldn't question her at all, that the people who did my original sleep study were amateurs, that she couldn't possibly be wrong because she had a degree... When I said, "I'm only trying to figure out what this difference in results is," she didn't care to think about it at all. She would not be brought into a discussion of any sort. She would not speculate anything. She did not propose anything other than "these are my results so I must be right everything else you've heard must be wrong." She did not think for a moment, "Yeah, that's weird what can I do to help you figure out the truth?" She just keeps repeating herself over and over again until you shrug and leave to find a second opinion. If she ever reads this, I hope she understands that no matter how much of an authority she is on the issue, that she shouldn't treat her patients like this, no matter how "confrontational" they're being. Answer the concerns. All of them. Don't act like a machine and spit the same uncaring answer out fifty times. No matter how much you say you care about your patients, the way you handled this SHOWS that you do not. Even if that wasn't your intent. Address contradictions in ways other than this. Seriously.
