Dr. Tara Lynn Sosna, MD

Dr. Sosna has been my doctor for over a decade. She’s an amazing professional with great bedside manners. She delivered my first child and recently did my hysterectomy. Not only is she an amazing doctor she is an equally amazing surgeon. She truly cares about you as a patient. I love her and am glad that I found this practice many years ago.

Very disappointed with this Dr. Sosna as she was highly recommended to me. I felt as if she was appeasing tests on me to appease my symptoms .She missed something on one of my test results that another Dr. found important enough to mention to me. She seemed to have difficulty in trying to diagnose my problem and made me feel unimportant. I felt rushed during appointments with her and felt that she was not thorough enough and often did not explain things to me well enough to which I often left her office confused. She was quick and to the point which I was uncomfortable with. As far as the staff is concerned they were mediocre at best. It felt that there was more importance on patients who were pregnant as I especially found out when I had to call after hours. That on call Dr. was extremely rude,condescending and made me feel terrible for calling because I wasn't pregnant. The on call doctor also explained to me that after hour calls emergencies were only for pregnant patients. What… are the gynecological patients supposed to do in an emergency? As I was told by the on call doctor to just go to the ER. I never cried so hard after speaking to that on call doctor. I would NEVER recommend this practice of doctors at all. So happy I got a second opinion from a real educated and kind OBGYN.

Dr. Sosna is very patient and attentive with me. I first came seeking assistance in getting pregnant through insemination. She walked me through the process and put me at ease. Shortly there after when I developed other symptoms that turned out to be breast cancer she was very proactive and thorough at getting all the tests in place for a diagnosis even though others weren't as concerned with each result. Her relentless persuit of answers rather than just taking a wait and see approach and following up later allowed me to be diagnosed and have my masectomy before the two tumors had a chance to spread. This timeliness allowed me to avoid chemotherapy and radiation treatments where that would not have been the case just a few months later. It just so happened that my annual well woman visit was already scheduled for just a couple of weeks after my masectomy. Dr. Sosna was extremely compassionate and concerned with my progress. My physical following surgery was thorough and… complete, much more involved than a typical well woman visit. She helped week the services of a fertility specialist to explore my options and the feasability of getting pregnant after my treatment was complete. I appreciate the fact that she is always patient, never rushes me, and answers all of my questions without ever being condescending. I have recommended her to friends her were seeking the services of an OB/Gyn. I do occasionally have to wait a bit to be seen, but I don't mind. It is worth the wait as I assume that other patients are receiving the same thorough, compassionate care that I have come to expect.

Dr. Sosna delivered my son. She genuinely cares about you and your health. Recommend her to anyone. The post about her smelling like smoke, coughing, and sounding like a man is ridiculous. She is cute, funny, and cordial. She does not smoke either. I feel like i could tell her anything. she does not judge and she listens intently.

Dr Sosna makes me feel very comfortable when I see her. She is very professional yet friendly and caring. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an OBGYN.

Dr. Sosna is very caring, warm, & friendly. She takes the time to chat with and get to know her patients and has an excellent bedside manner. She is also very knowledgable and helpful. Would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Sosna has delivered two of my children. She takes the time to answer all of your questions. I do not feel rushed and I feel she takes a real interest in my concerns. I had excellent births with her. I felt at ease that she knew what she was doing but also that she knows what to do in an emergency. She had great bedside manner. She may be loud, but she is loud with a bubbly personality. Very caring!

sounds like a man.can smell the smoke oozing off of her.always coughing in your face.tries to give prescriptions for everything.
