Dr. Tawanna Joy Strauther, MD

Very rude. I wouldn't take my dog to her.

You should save your money and time. Dr. Strauther was extremely unhelpful, dismissed my wound, and very, very rude.

Excellent doctor! I highly recommend! She is so professional and very friendly. She spends a lot of time with you. Not one of the kind of doctors that are in and out before you can ask all your questions. The staff is amazing!! Very nice ladies up front!! They genuinely care!

She knew right away what was wrong with my ex-husband.

I would not recommend Dr. Strauther to anyone!! I have a lot of health issues and she treated me like a hypochondriac instead of having compassion, I was never contacted about my blood test results, and was treated rudely by the staff when I called to ask about my results!

Dr Strauther spends more time with me one on one than any doctor ever has. She explains details of my health thoroughly with insight and makes sure we both have the same plan of action before leaving her office. Caring yet professional.

She is smart but she gives you judgemental looks like crazy and runs tests you specifically said you did not need and did not authorize. Absolutely will not go back!!

Do not use this doctor if you care about yourself or your loved ones. Takes forever (weeks) to get an appointment so if you have a critical and time sensitive illness don't waste your time. Referrals are even slower... had to call several times, then fax and email the request just to get a response after those attempts. Then was told she only does referrals at the beginning of the month. ( so what about the rest of the month? Are you a doctor or a sales broker)

I was assigned this doctor after my dr left Cape Fear Family. She is always held up and "running late" when calling for a prescription refill it can take up to a week to receive a response. The only advantage of seeing her is that she can come to the Hospitial to check on you when you are really sick.
