When I was told I needed surgery, I was very nervous about it. Coming from New York City, I had the advantage of having it done at any of the premier hospitals in the region. After interviewing with several doctors, I wasn’t happy with the rushed and impersonal interaction I had with them. My daughter, who resides in Dallas, suggested I go to the Nicholson Clinic. I cannot say enough about the great care that I received there. My surgery was performed by Drs. Long and Roshek. These surgeons are top notch, and I had total confidence in them. Their warm and wonderful bedside manner immediately put me at ease. I was treated like a person and not just a number. All of my many questions were thoroughly answered as well as having the whole surgical procedure explained to me in depth. My surgery was immediately scheduled. I underwent laparoscopic gallbladder removal with four tiny incisions. I was sent home the same day. My recovery has been a breeze, and one week later I am back… to my usual routine. I am very grateful for Drs. Long and Roshek and will always remember how they took what was a very stressful time in my life and helped me through it with ease. Thank you Drs. Long and Roshek for taking such good care of me. Added bonus- they are definitely easy on the eyes!

It is all about patient experience with Dr. Roshek - starting with making the appointment (a friendly staff with flexible options of days & timings), pre-surgery appointment (amazing attention to detail from Dr. Roshek in terms of patient education in simple lay man language so that one understands the diagnosis & surgical options to treat with pros & cons of each option, fantastic training in robotic laparoscopic surgery) & then the understanding of the insurance benefits - he is the best surgeon in Dallas with an outstanding staff. Very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Dr. Roshek took the time to explain to me the details of the surgery, and what the alternatives are. Working with his office staff was great as well! Highly recommend.

Initially, I was puzzled as to why I could not locate any positive reviews with regard to treatment provided by Thomas Roshek. Now, I understand. My experiences with this individual have been rude, sarcastic and demeaning. His behavior does not align with the Hippocratic oath that physicians must uphold. He appears to be in concert with a cosmetic surgeon with whom I also consulted with and who completely belittled and mistreated me. Based on my experiences with these doctors, more specifically Roshek, ethnic groups undesirable to him and his cohorts should expect to be treated with absolute bias. He stated to me in all certainty, "I ain’t gonna operate on you and I've told you this before". He moved on to state that “you are morbidly obese, and I just won’t take the chance”, further validating his incompetence and lack of knowledge of body types, particularly those of African American descent. I have a tall build and while I do need to lose some lbs (20 by his own… admission), I have maintained the same weight at each office visit over a four-year span. As a physician, he should have addressed any underlying medical conditions that may be contributing to my inability to lose weight. He never gave me an ultimatum to lose weight as he referred me to the cosmetic surgeon without hesitation. As long as he and the cosmetic surgeon would get paid twice, he did not care. It was only once I expressed my concerns with how I was treated by the cosmetic surgeon he then became super defensive. Upon expressing disappointment with his tone, he had the audacity to look out of a window that was not opened in a condescending, degrading manner. He began to raise his voice, asking me to leave while walking uncomfortably close behind me in a threatening manner as if to put me in my place. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!

Very happy with his gastric sleeve surgery he performed on me 4 weeks ago. Amazing results with no pain or problems. Highly recommend.
