Dr. Timothy Scott Houden, MD

Doctor Houden was great. He was nice and answered my questions. He also did a great job on my procedure. I would go to him again.

Saw Dr. Houden for steroid injection at L5/S1 for severe nerve root impingement. His staff was professional, friendly, and though there was a small delay in getting seen due to my appointment being at the end of the day, Dr. Houden explained the procedure thoroughly, expressed care, and made me feel very comfortable during the whole procedure. I am seeking short-term relief and still planning on eventual surgery, but I would highly recommend this Dr. for injection treatments. I found the whole procedure to be pain free and though they described "pressure" during a few points, I found it to be entirely tolerable.

Dr Houden and his staff have been the BEST! the first time i meet him he shook my hand and explaned what he would be doing. I will have another shot next week and if it works as well as the 1st. I will have my neck surgery after that. All have been kind and caring! I would say give Dr Houden a try. I have had neck pain for over 35 yrs. and I am tired of pain pill's,THANK YOU Dr Houden and staff!!

I won't refer to this guy as a doctor. He is more interested in his personal life than with his patients and has a horrible bedside manner. He rushes through his appointments and used me as a trial patient to learn how to perform procedures. I was in a procedure for 3 hours that was supposed to take about 40 minutes. Although there were not any issues with my responsibilites on treatment he told me to go elsewhere because he didn't want to write more prescriptions. Treatments were rushed and painful.

Dr. Houden does get right down to business, but the success of his procedure was the most important to me. It was successful.

First off, I met Dr. Houden 1 time when he gave me a shot. He said hello and that was it. He had a mask on and scrubs so i don't even know what he looks like. I was seen by his Nurse Practioner twice prior to shot. His nurse said i would probably need an shot before she even looked at any pictures or read my history. She had me get imaging and then said a shot was the way to go. When i went in to have the injection, dr. houden did not ask anything about me or where my pain was and basic questions to come up with a diagnosis. All he did was stick a needle into my spine and then said goodbye. After 3 weeks of the shot not helping i went back in to see his nurse. She said lets try another shot. I had 3 sets of shots and none helped!! Then his nuse said "oh.....the pain must be coming from your hips." She of course does not treat hips so I had to go see someone else. What a waste of time!!

Dr. Houden has provided me with amazing care, and is always very professional and kind. his staff is great and they need a Big thank you ! I have had horrible neck pain for many years and he has helped me to feel so much better. Dr Houden is my Hero !!!!!

I did not even get to meet Dr. Houden. I met with one of his Nurse Practitioners who scheduled me for an epidural steroid injection. Dr. houden gave me the injection but he did not even introduce himself! all i saw was some man in a mask giving me a shot. It was so weird! I would not recommend him, I want to meet the doctor that is treating me. In my opinion he is not treating me, he just giving me a shot. The nurse practitioner is doing all the work. As far as "caring" goes, he probably does not even know my name or what i look like. TERRIBLE DOCTOR!!

While giving me an epidural, he had to "fish" for it. I was leaning over a pillow, and it took him an extra long time to get it. He was actually asking ME where he was. I had to tell him he was to the left or right. I told him thanks as he was leaving, and he didn't even care. The epidural stopped working during surgery, and the following night. I then had to get 2 blood patches to fix the epidural headaches the following days (which is rare).

After years of back pain, Dr. Houden is the only doc that got me back on my feet. He and his staff are often 'clinical' instead of friendly. Who cares. He fixes me pain and when I called after my thired procedure with questions, he called back immediately. I don't need a friend, I need a doctor and he's great.
