Caring, knowledgeable physician who takes time to listen and talk to his patients. His office is well run as well with short waiting times. I’m usually seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time.

So, what I believed to be Lupus, has been properly diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis . But that’s not all Dr. Collins missed. He was well aware I had been previously diagnosed with Endocarditis. I went to him repeatedly for years asking, begging for help. I complained each time about severe swelling in my legs, feet, and hands. I complained each time about being extraordinarily fatigued. I now find that I need heart surgery and I’ve had a leaky heart valve since I had the endocarditis. What does this mean?! It means Dr. Collins missed an obvious diagnosis. He had a client for multiple years with a past diagnosis of endocarditis, who complained repeatedly of the very symptoms that a leaky heart valve will have. He always had a smart comment about needing to lose weight and it’s not swelling or something like that. I am warning you all, for a family doctor diagnosing the flu, maybe, but don’t take your serious health concerns to this man. He just may not believe you and then you may… suffer for years afterward, because he made you feel crazy like it was all in your head.

I've finally been diagnosed with Lupus. Went to Collins for about 5 years begging for help with an arrray of medical issues, none of which he ever got right. I went repeatedly with swelling & he said "often woman come in thinking they're swelling & they've just gained weight ". That's just one example of his sexist comments. Had he ever listened to me about my swelling, rashes, joint pain, fatigue, or unexplained weight gain, maybe he would of run a antibody panel & found out years ago I was telling the truth & my ANA & RNP antibodies were positive. Thanks Dr. Collins for being so arrogant, my faith in the medical field deminished. It took me two more years to get the nerve up to see another doctor & like I always told you.....I was sick. I have Lupus!
