Just make sure you get a second opinion before you go to a surgery with this doctor. I think a surgeon should be very careful to examine the patient's situation before surgery instead of opening and closing the belly. Maybe I just had a bad luck.

Dr. Gushchin was my dad’s surgeon for his HIPEC surgery today. He definitely is a great doctor and has a great team. He was polite, made us feel comfortable, and listened to the wishes of his patient. My dad looks better today than he did after his initial surgery surgery somewhere else and that one wasn’t nearly as intensive. Thank you Dr. Gushchin and team.

I found Drs. Sardi and Gushchin on the Internet after my initial oncologist and a 'world-famous' physician at Hopkins told me that nothing could be done for my diagnosis of peritoneal carcinomatosis. I was diagnosed wit stage IV colon cancer two years before. Dr. Gushchin performed the HIPEC surgery, removed the obvious disease and a year of maintenance chemotherapy has produced three clean PET scans and my undying support of Dr. Gushchin and his choice to taker in as a difficult technical case. He is a STAR!!!

Excellent bedside manners. Able to deliever bad news in a caring way. Superb surgeon who takes on very difficult oncology cases. Highly recommended.
