I do not recommend this doctor. I could not work at my job with the prescribe medication.

I have been seen Dr Motiram for more then 15yrs I am beyond surprise to read the reviews other people leave i was in a dark place when i started seen her ...I guess you cant please everyone especially if there DR SHOPPING..... ok and one thing Dr Motiram's staff is the best always nice and willing to help you at anytime during office hours 100% five star

the pros: Dr Motiram is very professional- and is caring- and extremely knowledgable. She has always been exactly on time for my appointments over the last year or so. The cons: Very short appointment time, I see her for about 5 minutes, (though if I had a major issue, I believe she would extend this). which is ok for me, but might not be for everyone. the cons: the office staff could be a lot more personable and welcoming, though they have never been rude to me. Also, they are not the fastest at returning calls. It usually takes a couple of days. It should also be noted that the doctor wants to be paid upfront, before your visit, and there is a charge for professional letters from her. which i think is fair. Overall, it is a positive experience seeing this doctor. I will continue.

do not be fooled!! she may give u meds but she is self-centered and superficial. when the going gets rough, she bails.

Dr. Motiram is one of a rare breed of psychiatry doctors who truly cares about each and every patient. She has helped me immeasurably and I will always be appreciative. I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone in need. As you read some of the older reviews you may notice comments or concerns regarding the effectiveness of her staff. Several years ago there were some former staffers who darkened the office with their rude incompetence, but they are long gone now. However, I can personally attest that the current team is among the best of the many medical offices I am obligated to visit every month since becoming disabled several years ago. They are compassionate, concerned and above all eminently competent and are truly in a league all their own. For example, I have a special need due to my condition and unique commitments that I have to keep my schedule updated a year in advance. My special requirement is routinely handled with the upmost courtesy, which in not always… the case with some of my other doctor's staffs. If you are looking for a great doctor, I urge you to start here, at the top.

Isabelle at the front desk and the one filling prescriptions is irresponsible & a horrible person that has no business working with patients with mental health difficulties. There was a miscommunication with my pharmacy and I tried to have her call them again to fill my prescription, I was left without medication for 3 days. She hung up the phone on me twice and reprimanded me for rescheduling my appointment due to illness. She said to me “if you hadn’t missed your appointment you would’ve had your medication” knowing well that I was scheduled to come in in 2 days. Dr. Mortiram is great and very knowledgeable, so I hope she is aware of how unprofessional and insensitive her office staff are.

I have been a patient of Dr. Motiram for seven years. I have since moved to Sarasota, but continue to drive the distance to see her. That speaks for itself! Initially, she diagnosed my symptoms and properly prescribed a cocktail of meds which gave me relief. As time lapsed, other more significant symptoms afflicted my every day life. Dr Motiram added to my daily routine allowing me to particulate more fully in every day life rather than remain bed ridden. She is a kind and gentle doctor who has been interested in my conditions and my general well being. I am grateful that she has been part of my medical team through the years. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Mortiram to those seeking help with psychological problems requiring prescription relief.

Once you are stable, you can get in & out quickly...that's the good news. The bad news is you get 2 to 5 min max with her....so if you have concerns...write them down & ask her until you are satisfied. It would feel better if she spent 15 min with you, as I think she gets paid by insurance for a 15 min meeting. But again if you are doing well...the 5 min is ok.
