Dr. Victoria M Cheung, MD

PCP for two years. Rushes through appointments. Does not allow you to speak and does not listen. Unfortunately I came down with post-covid complications that she would not listen to me about and wanted to pin it all on depression and anxeity (I wound up in the hospital four times due to the severity of the symptoms). I then had to go to mayo to get diagnosed because she wouldnt listen to me- turns out I was correct in my self diagnoses that I was trying to get her to listen to me about and she wouldnt. Unfortunately had to rely on her for disability paperwork and sent her my mayo records with my diagnosis. She claimed they werent diagnosis and said if she wrote it on my disability paperwork it would be fraud. I'm absolutely done with this doctor. It's very apparent she does not care to get to know her patients and doesnt listen at all. No bedside manner and everything was always rushed.

Went to see her about a common condition that she seemed unknowledgeable about treating. Kept rambling on about what she thought it was and gave me a subscription for a drug that my pharmacist said was not indicated for the condition I had but for something I obviously did not have. I would not trust her judgement on anything. I don't know how she got into the UW Health system at all as they generally have very fine doctors.

The first review written was removed, so trying again. Let me say this. Worst Doctor I have ever gone to.

I have had Dr Cheung as my PCP for over 10 years. As a nurse I was impressed with her practice from the beginning. She is thorough, listens, explains, and follows through. I had my daughter transition to her after turning 18 and leaving her Pediatrician since birth. I highly recommend!

I have so much I could write, but won't waste my time. Enough wasted time.

New patient of hers. She rushes and she doesnt really listen/care. She doesn't know what she is talking about. She prescribed me medication and i asked her how it works and she responds, "i don't really know how it works." I would not reccomend her to anyone. She's a disgrace.

A year has past and although I am no longer a patient of DR. Cheung's, I just have to say that I am still feeling so good after the removal of my Gallbladder Last March. I am just sorry I put my trust in her for that long, it was a lot of unnecessary pain and cost to me, If only she had listened to her patient instead of being so sure that everyone was wasting her precious time.

I should not write a review in anger, but I don't think that feeling will go away for a good long time. I was a patient of Dr. Cheung . Over the course of about 3 years I made appointments with her ,and each time the issue was always about he same thing. The terrible cramps after I ate, and there was never a certain trigger food. Her advice every time was. "Change your diet..you have irritable bowel syndrome".Change your diet ,you are lactose intolerant". Change your diet, in the last visits she talked about testing for Gluten intolerance. After she got done telling me basically, I was fine...she ended her pronouncement with the phrase "DOES THAT SOUND FAIR"? It was frustrating to go home with no answer ..I did change my diet, and it was no help. I had a problem one morning and called the office told them I had to see her that day. She was not in on that day, and so I saw another Dr. He was still training, BUT he did listen to ME. He suggested an ultra sound to check my… Gallbladder. Guess what, the report showed a swollen G.B. with many stones and sludge. I waited for 2days for the results of that test, I called on that second day at 4:30p.m. And demanded to speak to Dr. Cheung. I talked to a nurse who read the report to me and then said Dr. Would have to call me back. The next morning, Dr. Cheungs other nurse called me and said Dr. Cheung read the report, her advice, CHANGE YOUR DIET! I blew up at the nurse and said really, after 3 years of the same complaint change my diet is all she can come up with? The nurse said she understood how frustrated I was and she said Dr. Cheung would call me back. I waited for that call for a week! To this day, the call has not happened. I switched Dr. Explained the long story, HE LOOKED AT THE LAB RESULTS. ,sent me to see a Surgeon, The Surgeon showed me the X-rays, there was a big stone and MANY others , where the X-ray showed grey cloudy it should have been clear black. Last Friday morning, he took that thing out, he told my husband it was White. I looked up "white G.B." porcelain G.B. is what I found. As I sit here,other than just having the procedure,I feel GREAT. And nothing I have eaten this far has caused the cramps that laid me low for those 3 miserable years. I would like to ask Dr. Cheung, " Does that SOUND FAIR"? I would like to suggest she take a few more classes on communication, and brush up on her diagnosis. Perhaps listening skills would be of great help also.

I would not recommend Dr Cheung. As a former patient I found her bedside manner rude and dishonest. After being diagnosed with Post Concussive Disorder(by Dr Cheung)-two weeks later she accused me of "faking" my injury. If she does not understand the basics regarding head trauma I suggest she go back to school. On a positive note I have never had a negative experience with any UW Doctor,Nurse or staff prior to this incident. I think highly of the UW system- I just wish I had not had to experience the one "bad apple".
