Dr. Wallace Franklin Goldban, MD

Horribly incompetent ever changing careless support staff. Ongoing deteriorating issue. I've been a patient for many years.

Several years ago Dr. Goldban operated on my now deceased mother. She was improperly prepared for her eye operation. When the doctor began to operate she was not fully anesthetized. When he put the blade to her eye, she flinched and he cut her cornea. This led to almost complete blindness in her eye which he had to contend with for over a decade.

He is a good doctor, I think, if you don't mind waiting for an hour plus for a routine appointment. I do mind so I left after an hour when I was told it would be another 20 minutes. Overbooking shows little respect for patients. When I called and asked that my records be sent to me so I can take them to another doctor, I was told I would have to come in to sign a release form. Wrong answer. I told them to mail me the release. We'll see if they follow through. Patients do have rights in CA.

I've had two cataract surgeries with him and he's always been excellent in all facets. Very compassionate, nice man and excellent physician. He's quiet till you get to know him a bit...but I really enjoy talking with him, along with having him take the best care of my eyes!

I have seen this MD for more than four years. He's excellent in many ways but does not fully explain risk factors in cataract surgeries and can be impatient during surgery. Yet he remains the best available in the Coachella Valley. It's the patient's responsibility to communicate dissatisfaction with the doctor. Doctors today are ALL RUNNING AS FAST AS THEY CAN! Just don't let them run over you.

About two years ago I had cataract surgery in both eyes. One was more problematical. The Doc told me to stop taking a prostate drug for a week before surgery because it would be less convenient for him to, as it turns out, do a typically speedy procedure. Awake I could hear his impatience during the kprocedure. Then,about one year later I developed a torn retina causing partial blindness. It was only then that I found out on the internet that torn retinas are far more likely to occur in patients with cataract surgery. NO ONE informed me of that risk factor. Fortunately another specialist was able to repair the damage with minimal visual distortion. Beware.

I've seen Dr Goldban for about seven years. With several issues going on, he and his wonder staff has kept me pain free and seeing! Highly recommend Dr Goldban and I have visited his Palm Springs and Palm Desert locations. Both are equally good and he brings his staff to both locations.

Dr. Goldman and his staff have been excellent. He's a very caring, compassionate Doctor who treats you with respect and does his job with great professionalism.

I was very nervous to discuss having Lasik surgery. It's something I have always wanted to do but was reluctant because I dislike medical procedures. I went to Dr. Goldban's gorgeous new office in Palm Desert and was greeted by his friendly staff and had to wait less than 5 minutes. Dr. Goldban was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable and confident in the procedure and his abilities. I decided to have the surgery and it couldn't have gone better. I have never seen so well and am finally free from dependence on glasses. What a gift! Thank you Dr. Goldban and Staff!

From our first appointment with Dr. Goldban, we have been impressed with his entire team. One is warmly greeted, the doctor's assistants are excellent and Dr. Goldban is very thorough, explains things clearly and spends the time needed to provide excellent, individualized care. He has a quietly confident and respectful manner. On several occasions we had more urgent care issues and were promptly fit into their schedule.
