Dr. William Bradford Priester, MD

I've seen several retinal doctors and ophthalmologists, even one at Vanderbilt, but I've never had one I respected and liked as much as Dr. Brad Priester. Dr. Priester actually cares for his patients, you're not just a number. He is willing to take on hard challenges and stick with the patient until the crisis is over. He doesn't just refer you to someone else when a patient is complicated. Instead he says "We're a team, and we will beat this". I totally trust his judgement and have confidence in the care I receive. I have gone through some hard medical issues that lasted a long time. He was there with me every step of the way, going beyond just basic, and treating me as an individual with different needs and treatment than someone else might need. He also is willing to research and talk to other experts in the field to get another opinion, unlike some doctors who think they're the ultimate authority and won't consider anything other than what they've always done. He's a… wonderful doctor who goes out of his way to help, doesn't scrimp on care he gives and is willing to give guidance to help the patient navigate through a catastrophic event, including finding out costs if you need to get more care elsewhere, so you aren't surprised. I highly recommend him, as do other patients he treats and there are many. I hope he doesn't get burned out because he treats so many people and cares so much.

Very unprofessional. I was at his office about 5 hours. Office was unkept. After waiting an hour in this room, I went out & asked when I would see a doctor. He stormed in & said my wait was not his fault & said there just was not enough doctors to go around. I left after he gave me a quick summery of my problems. I did not want any treatment from him. I went to another doctor & got prompt & good treatment. I would not recommend him or anyone in his office for anything.

Dr. Priester is a great retina doctor however be advised that you will have to wait about three hours.

why you wont use or get the gel is very disturbing . the extra shot in my eye makes it bleed profusely and i can not handle that. please let me know when you get the gel back.

An excellent doctor with good bedside manners. Loved him.

The best doctor anyone could hope to have treatment by. Excellent human being and always cheerful and puts you at ease, even if you get bad news you do not leave his office feeling bad. He's just perfect!
