Dr. William Allen Hinz, MD

Did not help me with the issue I came in for, instead he... Directly copy and pasted my notes from a previous provider - even getting my age wrong (which was shown above correctly in the automated notes). Went through the appointment not realizing he was treating me for a DX I didn't have and then added it afterwards, but only after he realized I didn't actually have the DX he had been leading the appointment by. And then blamed not getting the DX prior on the previous doctor who left. Whoopsies doc. Bad medicine.

He was a wonderful doctor for the first few years. I left the last appointment in tears without my problems addressed. All that was offered to me prescription meds I cannot take because of severe side effects.

Dr Hinz is very busy and it take a long time to get an appointment. He is worth the wait! I went to him for my psoriatic arthritis. I had not seen my x-rays taken by my back surgeon, he took the time to show me. From these x-rays he was able to diagnosed bursitis in by hips. At the time I had a back surgeon ready to slice me open. No doctor in 15 years found the bursitis, even though I complained about hip pain every time I saw one. Dr Hinz gave me a painless shot in my hips. Now, wth less pain meds and visit to Dr Hinz for hip shots, I have no plans for surgery and my life is so much better!

I was really impressed with Dr. Hinz. I was suffering from joint pains all over and had seen multiple providers who had diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. When I saw Dr. Hinz, he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. We went over all my labs and history and I understood how my prior doctors had misdiagnosed me. We are working on a treatment plan that works and he didn't just throw pain medicines at me or send me back to my primary doctor. He had great bedside manner and gave me the time I needed. Will definitely continue to see him.

Saw him for a year and a half. he did nothing to help me

He seemed nice enough, but he didn't listen to me. He completely disregarded what 5 other physicians said about my condition. And over the phone he was really rude. He's very narcissistic, which I personally have real trouble dealing with- I want a doctor who will treat me with respect, listen to me, work with me and respect previous doctors research and input.

Dr. Hinz is just a sweetheart -- the kind of engaging, empathetic doctor you'd want taking care of your grandmother. He's been wonderful at helping me manage my autoimmune disorder, and he's welcoming of my small children when I can't get a sitter and need to bring them with me to appointments. I live over an hour away now, but I still make the drive to see him because it's so important to me to have a rheumatologist I feel I can trust.
