Dr. William Patrick Murphy, MD

Very knowledgeable, spends a good amount of time with patients, so he sometimes runs late. Been going to him about 3 years.

A genuinely scary and uncomfortable experience. I have never felt so violated by a doctor. I am a woman and Dr. Murphy was inappropriate and unprofessional. If you are a woman do not go to this doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Murphy until I became pregnant and he decided to take it upon himself to terminate my pregnancy during an exam , this man should not be a Dr as he is arrogant enough to play god and make life altering decisions for people without their consent

Couldn’t tell shingles from stage 2 Lyme disease. “If I hadn’t diagnosed you with shingles, and you had it, there could have been nerve damage”. As if lyme disease doesn’t have serious consequences. Came in with a rash and oval bullseye. Classic lyme symptoms. He said “shingles” and put me on an antiviral. Three weeks later I went back and he scratched his head for 20 minutes and couldn’t make a diagnosis. By this time the rash had spread, the itching and pain had increased, couldn’t lift my arm, chills, joint pain, and fatigue had set in. He continued to look perplexed and ordered bloodwork for lupus among other unrelated things. I thought I should see a real doctor and headed down to the city to see my dermatologist and it took him exactly immediately to diagnose me with Lyme disease. Stay far away. I am.

We've been taking both our kids to Dr. Murphy for the last seven years. I docked him one star because, yes, he does tend to run late, but it's because he spends so much time with each patient. He is so sweet with my kids, he doesn't rush through our visits, he doesn't push unnecessary medications. He has called us after visits to check on them after they are sick. The nurses there are so sweet and we genuinely feel grateful for everyone there. My experience as a long-time patient is completely inconsistent with some of these reviews.

Literally the worst doctor ever. Don’t expect to get out of here before 2-3 hours per visit.

Most of these reviews are attacking his appearance and not his ability as a Dr. I wasn't aware that longer hair automatically makes him unprofessional or a bad Dr- Ridiculous. This man is an excellent Dr.

A doctor who spends time to get to know you. Seems not to overmedicate or over test. What a nice, and these days unique, experience.

I saw the PA and can't tell you her name. She didn't introduce herself and made me uncomfortable from the minute she ORDERED me into the exam room. She was dreadful, without compassion and exaggerated her importance with her uppity attitude. I've heard a LOT of negatives about this office and "Dr". Murphy but was in a jam. I will continue my search for a competent M.D. with a staff that instills trust and confidence, which is totally lacking in this practice. These people need more practice treating people with respect. It's been some time since I went to this horror show and decided it would be a disservice to others not to share the experience. Lesson learned. I have since found another physician who has restored my belief that there are good doctors. Careful search and checking backgrounds is a must.

This quack has NO redeeming qualities--apart from making you appreciate whatever doctor you USED to see. Oh yes, Murphy--it's called "shampoo"--you'll find it on aisle three at Rite Aid...
