Dr. Xiaobin Yi, MD

Dr. Yi’s initial examination was cursory at best and spent less than 5 minutes examining me. His treatment was a right hip steroid injection because he said my MRI showed arthritis in the hip. In reviewing that MRI, I couldn’t find any reference to arthritis mentioned. For the next three visits, Dr. Yi did not perform any type of physical examination, only coming in to the room long enough for me to sign a consent form and ask if I had any questions. After my second injection (a bilateral SI joint steroid injection), I had the side effect of severe weakness in my left leg, yet his notes on the procedure showed that I was “discharged home in stable condition.” Even after mentioning this to two different nurses, my record was not updated. After the fourth injection which did not help, this was the message that I received from Dr. Yi - “No injections or RNF (Radiofrequency Ablation) She failed every injection. Follow up in 3 months.” So, no referrals or recommendations on how to relieve… that severe hip pain that I’ve been experiencing for the last six months. His communication skills are very poor, bedside manner is non-existent, and his diagnosis relied solely (and incorrectly) on MRI results.

Xiaobin Yi, MD seemed to cared more about my heath innsurance than my health. I would not refer this doctor or his staff nor would I ever go back. After 3 months of steroid injections, once a month, my pain persisted and Dr. Yi appeared to be clueless as to why. Now I'm 20 pounds heavier and still in chronic pain. One of my last appointments was scheduled at 3:45. After complaining, I was finally put in a room at 5:15. Absolutely ridiculous.

I have been dealing with chronic neck & low back issues since 2001 car accident. Dr Yi is one of the most accurate and most experience doctors I have had , it is not easy to find a good doctor that actually finds the nerves to ablate. I would recommend Dr Yi , yes he is busy ,but for good reason.

If you want your pain to continue go see this guy. He is so busy that it will take months for you to get any treatment, then is isn't done correctly so you'll still be in pain. I saw him for nerve ablation. He didn't numb the area and I felt the burn. Then the procedure sis not work so he told me I had to wait a month because he was too busy to relieve my pain

went in for relief of low back pain, the procedure was supposed to be painless but the Doctor didn't use enough lidocaine and I felt the entire procedure. The procedure did not relieve any pain and I now am not sure what to do

He tried to help my back pain with no success. Speaks broken English and shakes his head yes to everything you ask
