Dr. Yasir Adil Al-Hassani, MD

I was referred for many tests and since I am in severe pain and losing my ability to walk I was anxious to know results. Something is tearing up my spine. I drove 45 minutes to his office only to be greeted with locked doors, a woman stuck her head out and said, we are CLOSED. I had the appointment they sent me on the phone text. She said he would call today to discuss test results, I have been waiting 2 months for. HE NEVER CALLED. Their phone usually goes to voicemail. Make sure you have all money for copay or you will be turned away no matter how much pain you are in.

Dr. Al Hasani seems very knowledgable. However, this office must improve providing supportive services and some staff lacked compassion toward people with a potentially deadly disease. There are no support groups and/or nutrition counseling. Wait times are long. Staff seemed overworked and overwhelmed. I began to feel sorry for the staff even though it was me with this cruel disease.

If I could rate a 0, I would! I tried, unsuccessfully, for 3 days in a row, to make an appointment with Dr Alhassani. You have to leave your information on a voicemail and someone will get back to you "by the end of the business day". Well here it is, 3 business days later, and still no call. This is no way to run a medical practice, especially when one's health is on the line. Hiring a staff to actually answer the phone and schedule appointments might be a helpful practice to adopt, if you are truly interested in seeing patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Alhassani for 7 years. He is unfailingly kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He is also reassuring, which means so much to me. I would not go elsewhere if you paid me to do so. As to negative remarks seen here, some people are unreasonable and very demanding, and think it is "all about ME!!" You could not please them if you waved a magic wand over them and cured them immediately. They would claim you were slow in waving the wand, or the flash of light off the wand hurt their eyes, or some other whine. Dr. Alhassani is a clinical professor at USF medical school, has received many Outstanding Doctor awards, and graduated first in his class at his own medical school. You could not find a more competent physician.

My mom is 94 years old, she has breast cancer and she is being treated by a doctor for almost a year. Dr Hassani he treated my mother very carefully because she is too old and he is always very patient in answering our every questions. He is very knowledgeable and clear in explanations. Now my mom is cancer free. Highly recommend this Doctor !!!

I made an appointment to see Dr. Alhassani, when I arrive to the office I did not see him, I saw a different doctor. I made a follow up appointment to see Alhassani and again the other doctor was assigned to me. Needless to say I was not happy at all, and when I called to speak with alhassani I was told I had to make an appointment. I was very angry, I had already set up 2 appt and now they’re saying he won’t speak to me without an appointment. My advise to anyone reading this is RUN!!! RUN FAR AWAY!!! Your time is way to valuable to spend it at his office. The only reason I gave him one star is because it doesn’t give me the option to give ZERO STARS!!!!!

Dr. Al-Hassani has been my doctor for over 20 years. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty multiple times for me. My mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer stage 4 by another doctor out of state. He was compassionate with her. She could have seen any doctor and she chose him because he was so caring. He explains things if you don’t understand, you can bring him something you read on the internet and not get upset. He’lol explain to you what it is, if it has merit he will do the testing, and if it doesn’t, he will tell you why. You may have to wait to see him, but he will spend time with you. I don’t understand the negative reviews I. Regards to being rushed. He will spend the time that is necessary.

My Mother went to him one time. She has lung cancer. But i feel that the Doctor didn't explain to us in detail things that should be explained by an oncologist. We had to keep asking him to speak up his whole office acts like they want to run you in and run you out. He only spent maybe 15 minutes with Mom and this was her first visit. If it were up to me, I would find a new oncologist. But since she has Humana Gold Plus. She can only go there and is not allow to go to Moffitt. Humana Gold Plus not great either
