Dr. Young Lee, MD

I would NOT recommend Dr. Lee to anyone! He was completely unprepared for every one of my appointments and obviously didn’t look at my patient chart prior to the appointments. He is argumentative, does not provide results in a timely manner, and for that matter has yet to provide me with the latest results of numerous tests and procedures that were done months ago! It is unacceptable for me as a patient to have to guide the entire appointment and waste most of our precious little time reviewing information a professional would already know and be prepared for. The upper endoscopy and colonoscopy he performed were immensely stressful for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which was NO ONE at the hospital was informed by Dr. Lee that I required general anesthesia. I nearly cancelled both procedures minutes before I was to be wheeled into the procedure room because every single medical professional that checked in with me told me I was going to receive conscious sedation,… including the anesthesiologist minutes before the procedures. This was totally unacceptable! There have been numerous other adverse issues I’ve had with Dr. Lee. Save yourself time and misery. Do NOT trust your health to Dr. Lee. Go somewhere, anywhere else!!

Did not feel he was prepared I did not feel comfortable & he already made his decisions, regardless of my needs concerns He was a gentleman & polite, but not what I expected

This doctor misdiagnosed me with multiple gastric neoplasms and recommended radical gastric surgery and colostomy. He yelled into my patient room from the doorway, "ulcers, no. Neoplasms. Huge neoplasms. You have cancer." There were visitors from the other patient in the room. He then abruptly walked away leaving me with tears streaming down my face and possibly facing a terminal diagnosis. I was referred for second opinion and following biopsy it was found that I actually had large ulcers from overproduction of stomach acid. I was saved from unnecessary surgery.

Dr. Lee was very helpful to me and went above and beyond to find the right course of action for my GI problems. I have recommended him to friends and family, and would see him again personally.

this is a review in his new location in syracuse, ny. i have found dr. lee to be casual with his manner. does not sound all knowing or arrogant. he truly cares about you. do not hold back on questions, he will answer.i would higly recommend dr. young lee.
