Dr. Drew Jeffrey Gunnells, MD

Dr. Gunnells charged me $117 because I asked for a change in medication. If you can't talk to your doctor without being charged extra then I would not recommend him/her.

Dr. Gunnells is a very attentive doctor. He listens to his patients, and as a result in pretty sure he saved my kidney. During this pregnancy I had a horrible 9mm kidney stone low in my ureter that was not showing up on the scans. He told the radiologists and urologists that I was not a fusser, and there was something wrong for sure. He asked them to keep doing tests until they eventually found the stone, thank God before my kidney fully shut down because fluid was backing up into my kidney and that kidney wasn't working. I am grateful for a doctor who listens and takes a patient's account into serious consideration and won't give up.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Jeffrey Gunnells. I made an appointment at the St. Vincentâ??s location and he was the only physician available. During my visit he seemed friendly but arrogant. I noticed several times during the appointment that he was not listening or taking what I had to say serious. He interrupting me several times when I was trying to explain my problem. He also assumed that I was having painful cramps during menstruation and wrote a prescription without asking me if OTC medication was working. The main reason for me writing this review was his persistence on a treatment and medication that I was not comfortable with. He also did not leave room for questions and concerns, I had to stop him halfway out the door with my questions. This was my first and last time seeing this doctor.

I was having major pelvic pain that was unbearable. I got in with dr . Gunnells because he was the one available the soonest to see me. When he came into the room, I felt extremely uncomfortable. He hardly said 2 sentences to me and had no bedside manner at all. Right before he started the exam, he asked me when my last menstrual period was. I stated that it had been awhile and that I couldn't remember. When he started the exam, he said I thought you said you weren't on your menstrual cycle cause made me bleed pretty bad. I was at that point in excruciating pain that I couldn't move at all. I stayed in the floor curled up into a ball for awhile. When he came back into the room, he asked what was wrong in a not so concerning voice. I told him that my pain was extremely worse afterwards. He stated "I'm sorry" in a sarcastic tone. I now see dr Crowe and will never see him again and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to him. I believe he is the main reason that I am having the horrible… pelvic pain tjst has worsened ever since that day.
