Drew A. Kopicki, DO

After over 25 years with the same primary care doctor who retired, I was nervous about starting over. I have chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), so I needed a physician who could help manage my care across multiple specialists. I am truly grateful to have found Dr. Drew Kopicki at Main Line Health Care in Roxborough. He is kind, compassionate, and takes time to listen. He never rushes and always makes sure I understand my care. He recently gave me helpful, thoughtful advice during my annual physical and continues to be incredibly responsive through the patient portal. Whenever I have questions after a specialist visit, Dr. Kopicki explains everything clearly and helps me make sense of it. I’ve seen negative reviews on this site that seem to be written by the same person, but my experience has been the complete opposite. Dr. Kopicki is one of the best primary care doctors I’ve had and a strong advocate for patients with chronic conditions. Peter P

Dr. Kopicki is unfortunately a prime example of our archaic, broken medical system. He presents as having little knowledge outside of the generic baseline medical school education and clearly puts in no effort to further that knowledge. If you have any chronic or undiagnosed health issues, I advise you stay away from this practice. He will not put out effort to help you get answers and resolve those issues. You're lucky if you get a meaningful referral. If you want any tests ordered outside of a generic CBC, you have to be the one to push for the idea. It is unlikely he will offer it up himself. He basically makes you feel like you’re just burdening him. Advocate for yourself and be steadfast. Perhaps the worst part is that he will gaslight you with incorrect information and show no remorse when you provide him scholarly evidence that he was wrong. If you are in good health and just need an occasional check up, Drew can probably handle it. Anything beyond that is a lost cause. Also,… he himself does not seem healthy and is quite overweight. This sets a pretty bad example. I highly encourage any other patients with similar experiences to speak out. Overall this practice seems to be a poor reflection on MLH.

As for Dr. Picciano, I cannot speak from experience but a friend who sees her has mentioned she barely spends any time with him and the appointments feel rushed.
