Dr. Drew Mccausland, MD

I was experiencing pain from an infected sebaceous cyst on my scalp. I called Dr. McCausland's office on Friday, only to find out that, although he was in the office, he was not seeing patients; he was catching up on paper work and phone calls. Upon learning of my pain, he agreed to see me, because he does not believe in ignoring someone who is in pain. His nurse "apologized" that he was dresed in shorts and sneakers! (Like it mattered to me how he was dressed!) I got to his office as quickly as I could (I was 45 minutes away.) Much to my relief, he took care of my problem with kindness and compassion (as well as surgical instruments!) Dr. McCausland is one of a kind!

Old fashioned in the best way: takes time, profoundly knowledgeable, good results. Couldn’t be happier with experience. There is reasonable waiting time. Which also means he is not rushing and I feel he takes my case seriously. Very pleased, recommended to friends several times.

After waiting over an hour he got angry with me when I asked the staff about the delay. He said if I didn’t like it I could leave because he had plenty of business. So I left. For that appointment I was a returning patient. Won’t be ever again

Dr. Mccausland is a wonderfully knowledgeable and caring physician. My wife and I have been going to him for over 35 years, and highly recommend him.

You wait forever to see him. From the waiting room to waiting in the exam room for Dr. McCausland to arrive can feel like an eternity. Still, reception staff is very friendly and Dr. McCausland has a refreshing bed side manner. He has a good sense of humor. He cares about his patients.

An excellent doctor. Dr. McCausland is very knowledgeable and caring. He takes the time to understand my medical issues and get to the root of the problem by asking many questions, so, I do not mind waiting in the office for my appointment because he takes such good care with all his patients. He is so worth my time. So happy to find the best dermatologist in the world. Really love this doctor.

I went to Dr. Drew for my 14 year old son. This Doctor didn't know what he was doing. He also Prescribed a medicine for my son that THEY NO LONGER MAKE... Please update your data base with medication for your patients.

My family has been treated by Dr McCausland over many years. No he will not just 'chit chat" he will ask you questions and then give an extremely accurate explanation of what the problem is and what caused it. He also took time to explain to my grandaughter why it is important she not lie in the sun un protected she has her grandmothers skin and I have a melanoma which he caught and removed. As a double breast cancer survivor he has helped us both understand the need for mammograms etc. An excellent doctor with a "unique" bedside manner.

We would stay with this doctor except for the fact that over the past five years, he has kept my teenage daughter waiting anywhere between 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, every single appointment! This is totally unacceptable and makes us steaming mad every time. Our last visit was the last straw and I am looking elsewhere.....

Dr. McCausland's a fine doctor, but he operates with little regard for the value of his patients' time. I had a series of procedures this summer, and I had to wait at least an hour and a quarter before seeing the doctor on each of a half-dozen visits. Yet, yesterday, when car trouble was going to make me a half-hour late for my appointment -- time which I would have presumably spent sitting in the waiting room, waiting for another stint of sitting & waiting in an examining room -- his staff wouldn't accommodate lateness. While I was able to reschedule for today, an hour and 45 minutes after my appointment time I could tell by the voices through the exam-room walls that the doctor hadn't even started his meeting with the guy ahead of me. So I walked out and won't go back. Dr. McCausland is a very competent and amiable guy. And I like his staff, too. But, eventually his plain lack of respect for the value of my time more than outweighed the positive attributes of his practice.
