Dr. Duane Edward Dixon, MD

Never even saw me before. Comes in the room and says that he wants to stop my medication and put me in a Ti Chi class. What an jerk. Went and found another doctor who, after examining me, elected to NOT stop my medication.

Dr. Dixon is a businessman who just happens to be a doctor. I was like most people looking for the friendly ,courteous and kind doctor that I had been use to for 21 years while dealing with my pain stemming from a birth defect. I found no such person in Dr. Dixon. From the first visit he was late and judgmental and callous . I am now pain and drug free because I decided to stop being treated like his next payment. Dr. Dixon is a businessman and once you understand that for what it is , it’s his business ,you will be fine . The cure is not in a pill because that is only going to last a few hours, the cure is finding out why your hurting, and sometimes it’s just changing what your doing or allowing others to do to you to further their own lifestyle...

I'm currently a patient of his Pain Care Center in Christiansburg I've only seen him a couple times because I refuse to after my first visit with him..He was Rude,Insulted me made me feel horrible about myself because he belittled me which was so unprofessional..Didn't want to listen to anything I had to say only typed on his computer when he finally did speak it Was only to say rude stuff he doesn't care about his patients.. it makes me wonder why he became a doctor in the first place.. Thank god there's another provider I can see in the office or I would not be continuing to go!! Find another Doctor besides Dixon

This doctor is uncaring will not listen.Been closed on scheduled appointments.Listens to not one thing. I didn’t receive a bill for six months and I asked every visit why.no one in the office knew and then I get a bill for 400.00. WRONG.

Dr. Dixon is kind, caring, and has a outstanding education. He is there to help all of us who walks through his door. Instead of giving a Dr. a bed review just go to somebody else. We will still taeour issesto Dr,Dixon.

I've been a nurse 40 yrs. My son was his pt. Most unprofessional dr. I've ever been around. Terrible hygeine. Not interested in pt. Doesn't listen. Has attitude before entering room. Totally unethical! Needs to have his license revoked!

I'll admit that when I was 1st going to Dr Dixon, when his office was in Lynchburg VA, that I did sometimes have very long wait times, but now in the new office in Madison Hgts VA, I get called back within no more then 30 mins, if that. And most of the time, I get called back within a few mins of sitting down. He's very professional, he's very much to the point & wants you to be the same, but he is a caring Dr when he needs to be. What I'm trying to say is that he can sometimes seem cold but that is just him being focused on getting the job done, but when you need him to be sympathetic to your situation, in my experience anyway, he has been great!!! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone that asked me for recommendation for pain management Dr. Like the title of my post says give him a chance I think in the long run you will be happy with your decision you just have to take it with a grain of salt sometimes.

Went for my first appointment the office was closed no one called me to reschedule my appointment

Not a knowledgeable doctor bad hygiene does not answer questions or acknowledge patients concerns.Would not refer him to a canine.People research him,had I known of his malpractice suits I would have steered clear of him.
