Dr. Dulce H Suapengco Samonte, MD

If you are looking for a doctor that does their job, do not go here. Both Dr Samontes (mother and daughter) dropped the ball with my child several times. They missed easily diagnosable issues which resulted in my child being taken to the Emergency Room. These two doctors should be investigated and prosecuted. To add insult to injury, the office personnel (specifically Lisa) is extremely rude. Never have I met such a heartless person. I’m a very passive person and really try to communicate through situations but Lisa is an absolute dread to deal with. The only thing this doctor’s office is good for is vaccinations. They are a vaccination factory basically. Any real issues will not be addressed with these doctors. If you love your children which I imagine you do after reading this review, then do not take them to these doctors. They are nice at first but very incompetent and lazy and should not be trusted to care for children. I have already submitted a complaint to the state as well as… the Governor’s office.

All children should get the care Dr Samonte gives my children! She is super sweet and loving towards my kids every time! We love her!

I would highly recommend Dr. Samonte, she is very polite, professional and very knowledgeable. She truly loves what she does. She has been my daughter's doctor for 14 years and has been amazing. The staff is great-the nurses are nice and the office staff are friendly and helpful.

If you enjoy spending an hour and a half in the waiting room this is the perfect doctor to see!

Could not be happier with Dr. Samonte's care.

I wanted to take the time to write this review because I want to warn other potential patients. I've been to the office for a morning appointment with my child and be seen by the nurse almost immediately. But I wait for the doctor for at least 45 minutes. I'll admit I find the doctor to be knowledgeable and nice to my face, however I've also overheard her talking badly about her other patients. The staff is great though-the nurses are nice and the office staff are friendly. Still, I would not recommend her.

I would highly recommend Dr. Samonte. I was a patient with her for over 20 years and she has always given me excellent care. She is polite, extremely knowledgeable, and makes you feel super comfortable. I have heard horror stories about other doctors from friends and I thank my lucky stars I don't have that problem. I have given my friends her number so they know what it's like to have someone who cares about your child. Her staff is very friendly and are always willing to help. I recently gave birth to my daughter and she goes there also. I wouldn't take her somewhere that I felt was under par. Dr.samonte is great with my daughter and I wouldn't trade her in for anyone else. It saddens me to see negative reviews on this site- she doesn't deserve them. Take it from me - she is the best pediatrician around!

Impossible to contact office or get a phone call back. I needed my son's vaccination history for school and Ive spent my valuable work time trying to get through to Dr. Samante's incredibly INCOMPETENT 3rd party answering service who had me on hold for 20-minutes only to pick me up and then place me on hold two more times. I never got a call back and now i have to take my son to another doctor because of this DISMAL PATHETIC INCOMPREHENSIBLE service!! THE WORST!!!!!

I am taking the time out to write this review because I feel it is absolutely necessary. I have been going to Dr. Samonte for 18 months and each time I try to give her a chance, I am even more disappointed then the previous visit. The office itself is nice and clean. However, you are usually waiting for over an hour to be seen, then when Dr. Samonte gets in the room she spends five minutes telling us the same thing she told us on the previous visit. Many times my husband and I left there thinking maybe she forgot what she wrote the last time. My biggest issue with this office are their rules. If you need a document to be filled out. She charges $5 per form and it does not get filled out the same day. The assistants tell you it will be ready in two days. I have waited for a form that I have paid for, for over two weeks. I have to be the one to contact them to follow up. When you're done debating with them, they tell you it is ready, just to shut you up. Once you get there the form… is still not ready. I don't understand the point of having so many assistants and none of them can fill out paper work for the doctor to simply sign or stamp. NEVER AGAIN.

Worst doctor EVER! Wait time is well over an hour even if you are the first apt. scheduled. Make sure you do not have any questions you'd like to ask about your child's health or she gets annoyed. After waiting over an hour each time you are lucky if she spends more than 3 minutes with your child. After each visit I always receive a bill (even though my insurance covers 100%) so I speak with my insurance company each time my son has a visit with Dr. Samonte and like always, the insurance covered 100%. Why this doctor continues to send invoices saying insurance did not cover my son's visit is beyond me... After bringing an issue to her attention for over 6 months, on my last visit with Samonte she told me it was urgent that I take my son to a specialist. Why it took her 18 monts to figure out an issue that he has had since birth is pretty crazy. When I left that day, I asked how I could go about getting my son's records so that I could go else ware and 2 days later I receive a certified… letter in the mail from Dr. Samonte stating that she can no longer provide medical assistance to my son since she cannot meet my "demands/expectations". In my opinion this doctor is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Did she want to kick us out before I got the chance to switch doctors? OR do my "demands/expectations" of her spending more than 3 minutes with my son and not waiting a year and a half to tell me about an issue he has had since birth not fit her criteria of being a doctor? I highly do NOT recommend this doctor for anything!
