Dr. Duncan Wesley Sloan

My first with Dr Sloan. I had to hound them to get an appointment. When I finally it was pretty easy to get an appointment. ( Hint. If you get a referral to see Spokane Urology you probably won't get contacted to make an appointment. You have contact them and keep calling until they make you an appointment). So he startedme on a treatment plan but my symptoms have gotten considerably worse not better. I reached out to his office and they said a nurse and a nurse practitioner have contacted him to find out what he wants to do and they have not received a response. So here I am in signlficate pain and he can't be bothered to respond to his messages.

He spent plenty of time explaining every issue and answered many questions. Very knowledgeable.

I was impressed with Dr Sloan. He had all related trsts and procedures from my past urology appointments with doctors over at Kootenai Medical and N Idaho urology from 2022. He was very thorough explaining my current condition and concerns with me. We decided I needed a prostate biopsy prcedure. It was performed about 43 days later, he predicted that from my numbers he had already I had a VERY GOOD chance if ZERO cancer. Turns out he was correct. His thorough explanations were easy to understand and informative. I have an idea now from his diagnosis that I will definitely NEED the Aquablation prcedure in tge near future as I have an overly LARGE prostate. I am comfortable with working with him as my Urology Doctor I am happy with my experience with Spokane Urology and with Dr Sloan.

This was my first time meeting Dr. Sloan. First to my appointment was rescheduled for a month later as I understand things come up as other patients need procedures, etc. The day of the appointment I waited over 40 minutes in the room to see the doctor and really only spent less than five minutes with him as this was a follow and to go over my x-ray findings. I drove over an hour for this appointment and feel like this could have simply been a phone call or video chat instead of me waiting as long as I did and not spending very long with the doctor. He did although clarify one question for me that I have been unsure of for a few years now since I’ve had the kidney stones.

This was my first visit with Dr.Sloan. He was personable, very informative and instilled a confidence in becoming his patient. I have a long history of kidney stones and lithotripsy procedures. I expect the one coming up with him will be smooth sailing.

I was able to get answers to my questions. The answers were very detailed but easily understood. It was a very worthwhile visit.

My recent visit with Dr. Sloan was awesome! He was very patient and spent the time that he needed with my husband and myself to explain certain areas of care having a nephrostomy in my left Kidney. He did great giving me advice on how to avoid UTI’s which for me have led to septicemia for me and a long stay in ICU. I felt that he really truly cared and he did a great job educating my husband & me regarding my over all health. I would definitely refer my family and friends to Dr. Sloan if they needed care from a urologist.

The Dr, was friendly, and professional. He explained what was going to happen and was mindful of making sure I was ok.

Dr Sloan was prompt, provided evaluation comments that were understandable and clear to a layperson.
