Dr. Dung Xuan Truong, MD

I have been referred to this provider for several years for various Nerve Conduction Studies, exams etc. I have never understood his findings he has given my primary doctor. They have never made sense with what side of my body was in question, his findings are always the exact opposite of what I feel physically. However I trusted my primary doctor. I was recently sent to see him again to treat a condition I sustained in a motor vehicle accident. I am utterly dissatisfied with his treatment of my condition. He never listens completely or let's you explain and he minimizes anything you ask about your condition. He acts as if nothing you feel physically is real and that nothing you do in your day to day life should be impacted by your injury. My auto insurance had an independent medical exam done by a neurologist/orthopedist (who actually works for the auto insurance company to make sure my injury is accidented related) who spent 45 minutes to an hour with me, doing physical and motor… skill tests, and gave a diagnosis that is more accuracte and fits what is going on with me more than Dr. Truong. Dr. Truong believes my injury shouldnt be impacted or worsened by the type of work I do even though it is strictly done with my injured limb. He also has no idea why it's taking so long to heal. The IME for the auto insurance was very clear, from the time I saw him he said with a little luck I would be better in 3 more months with conservative treatment and injections but it could take as long as 3-9 months with a potential need for surgery to resolve. Dr. Truong presribed OT therapy and injections, he acted as if the steroid injections were the be all end all, like an instant cure. I know several people who have had the injectiontion only to have the pain return in a year or less, then have to go back in for another steriod injection.. I am going back to my primary doctor and ask to be referred to another doctor, someone who knows more about my condition or will at least take the time out to listen to me. He also charges $20 everytime you need any type of paperwork filled out, and with work involved that is a ton of paperwork. He explained at my last visit that it's because he wants to spend more time with his patients, which is bull because I am lucky if he spends 5-10 minutes with me.

Speachless at how rude this Dr was. And how much he liked his own voice, I might as well have asked him what my symptoms are and how I am feeling.

He does not listen and is very rude. He interrupts you when you are describing your symptoms and then makes his decision based on what should be not what is.
