My child had no known cardiac problems until she had a fluke abnormal x-ray.Dr. Balaguru and his staff were amazing. They fit her in and what was meant to be a short reassurance of no problem - became an all day event. We were not ignored, but fit in so that we wouldn't have to return several times. We did have to make further appointments for additional studies and a short hospitalization. My daughter is a teenager therefore taller than his teeny patients. But still a kid. Dr. B hopped up on the table and drew pictures for us to explain her anatomy. He was respectful, spoke in terminology we both understood and we have become long term patients. We are making a trans-Atlantic trip this year to have follow up care.He is kind and caring. Efficient yet thorough. His team are excellent too - Nurses are caring, funny and accessible, MRI techs and Radiologists are terrific and the cardiac ultrasound Technician is a sweet, relentless and a magician with her wand. In short, he and his… team are a dream come true despite a difficult diagnosis.

Dr. Balaguru is kind, thoughtful and most of all he explains himself to the parent and if appropriate the patient.He answers questions and assists in every step through testing to diagnosis and future planning.My daughter and our family found him to be an excellent and knowledgeable clinician.We are pleased and lucky to be under his care. He returns phone calls!
