I have never come across a doctor who was so unconcerned about one of his long term patients and his lack of medical ethics professionalism in seeing a patient immediately who was just hospitalized and the attending ER physician called Dr Abernathy office to impress upon him that I needed to be seen immediately due to kidneys not filtering and heart not pumping correctly. I do not recommend this doctor. Period. I am filing a complaint with the state medical board.

Dr Abernathy is a compassionate caring Physcian, who takes the time to listen and evaluate you as a person. He is thorough, and follows up with your concerns. As a retired Physcian , I am very comfortable and pleased with his care

I am Medicare age I have never had a Doctor that sat and really listened to me. He then made sure I understood the plan for my health. He then even wrote out the plan for me. I would highly recommend him.

During my time in Frisco, I utilized Dr. Abernethy for the majority of medical needs. His communication skills are impeccable. All questions are answered in a clear, consise, professional manner. He takes the necessary time to get the job done. I will miss him. The citizens of Summit county are blessed to have physicians of his calibre.

I am extremely picky about my internal medicine doctor. I have two Chronic conditions that are very difficult to diagnose between the two. I went through four doctors in Colorado before a I found Dr. Abernathy. He is not only competent and professional he takes time to explain your diagnosis and he makes it easy to understand. He listens, he asks if you understand. He will draw it out if you don't understand. For me I need a doctor that's going to be long term and that matches my personality of being witty and sarcastic, honest, kind and compassionate. Dr. Abernathy fits the bill!!! He is all of those things. His staff is awesome, Leah is wonderful and I appreciate all of them every time I go for a visit.

Dr. Abernethy took the time to read the medical reports I brought in with me from an ER experience several days before. He asked lots of questions and was very thorough. My husband and I left feeling so relieved and in good hands if we ever need this kind of help in the future. I'd read a few negative remarks prior to this experience and simply can't understand. Maybe everyone was having a bad day?
