I don't know where I would be without Dr. Ready. I started with Dr. Ready on morphine and 3 other types of medications with no control of my headaches. I'm now on very minimal medication and I've even been able to get pregnant and have a healthy headache controlled pregnancy. Dr. Ready listens, remembers, and supports every part of your treatment plan. He is someone that truly cares about his patients and helping them to control their headaches.

As soon as I heard a headache clinic was being opened at S&W, I requested a referral. After a lifetime of headaches, I was becoming disabled by my condition. Like many patients, i was resistant to medication and wanted to know what was wrong so I could be "fixed." Surely I must be missing a nutrient, or allergic to gluten, or there's something that needs to be cut out of my body. Eventually I accepted that I had no allergy or tumor and broke down and admitted I needed medication. Too bad I thought one drug should do the trick, without adverse effects, and was not very compliant with the treatment plan. Basically, I was resistant to hearing the realities of chronic daily headache. Nevertheless, Dr. Ready persisted in trying to educate and help me. Education is a big part of the treatment plan, because much of the work has to be done by the patient. People who show up and demand to be fixed, don't want to learn how to help themselves, and don't want to suffer any side effects… are likely to leave frustrated (and still in pain). Those who are willing to take some responsibility in the partnership to manage the disease will find a good ally in Dr. Ready. Dr. Ready seeks extensive continuing education, so is very current on the latest research and treatments. I am currently enjoying a lot of benefit from a newly-approved transcranial magnetic stimulator, which a lot of migraine patients do not yet have access to because their specialists do not yet know how to prescribe it. After nine years of working together I have about 80% improvement in pain with a good quality of life. My care is basically management and maintenance now. Dr. Ready never gave up on me even when I was trying to give up, and as a result I have my life back.

I have had migraines since I was 16 years old, and started seeing Dr. Ready 9 years ago. Prior to this, I had seen neurologist in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and the Bryan College Station area. I have honestly been on every migraine medication there is. Some made me stutter, some made my hair fall out, some made me lose my short term memory, all of them made me gain weight, but nothing helped with the situation. I have even tried some less common treatments, including being in a hospital in Houston for 10 days for bio-feedback, going to a psychiatrist who taught me to "self-hypnotize," and my favorite, putting 6 inch q-tips up my nose with lidocane on them. LOL After seeing a neurologist in Bryan, Tx nine years ago and being told there was nothing they could do for me, I started seeing Dr. Ready. I had an 8 year old son and a good job, and I needed to be at work, not at home in bed. Since that time, my headaches have improved substantially. They will never completely be… gone, but this is the first doctor with whom I have had success. I highly recommend Dr. Ready.

This Dr. is family medicine boarded and had training for headaches. He is NOT a neurologist. I wanted to see an actual neurologist and I was told that i could not change doctors even though I only saw him one time and he never prescribed any medications. I even went through Scott & White Patient Relations and they would not do anything to change the "policy".

Great Dr. First one that helped me move forward with PCS. From what I have seen most people dont change there life style to help themselves! Dr. Ready tells you that your brain needs routine ,sleep, excersie .Help your self first peplpe the DR. CANT JUST GIVE YOU A PILL to make it better!

Never once reviewed my migraine history, but made an immediate assumption about me, my diagnosis and my history. Never adjusted my medication, but left that up to my other doctors. Scolded me for needing too many rescue treatments and not following preventative protocol - but never giving me preventative protocol other than to read books and literature on how to better handle my migraines and life. If you are NOT a typical migraine sufferer - seek another doctor!!!
